Yes Christmas has come and gone... Ours was a wonderful Christmas... How was yours? Of course now though I am sick and thats not fun. I think I may have bronchitis (which is not fun!)
The girls had a wonderful Christmas and got TONs of toy! Carly got alot of clothes and money (which will come in handy when we need to buy her more clothes and other such things that she will be needing.
I finally got to open my lighting kit and play with it! I had so much fun trying to figure out all the settings and such . But I am not done figuring it all out as I have alot more to learn.
So now I leave you with some photos to enjoy from the holidays.

I scream, You scream, We all scream... For IHop!

So I woke up this morning on this great Christmas Eve.. The Hubby was suppose to be going to the gas station to get coffee as he does all mornings when he is off work. The 3 older girlies wanted to got with thier Daddy so he took them. Well after some time I realized they are still gone, so I text him and he tells me they are at Ihop. To be honest I am a little bummed that he didn't ask me to go with him but.. I think it is really sweet that he took 3 of his girlies to breakfast, things like this don't happen to often so I am really glad the girls get to go to breakfast with thier Daddy on Christmas Eve.
I'm sure every one is busy on this day so I will bid you adu....

Please Daddy!

So today we were hanging out with the kiddo's and they had noticed that there were a couple presents under the tree now (that we wrapped last night) and well Brookie was asking were they came from and why we weren't opening them. Of couse I told her because its not Christmas yet and she would have to wait. Well the Hubby tells the girls, when I was little all I had to do is beg my mom and she would let me open a gift early... And so that is what 3 girls did.. they got on the floor folded thier hands and begged Daddy Please can we open a present? they even got down on the floor and grabbed his leg and begged him (of course between me and you I think he would have let them open a gift early without them begging). He then went to the tree to decide what gift they would open (again between me and you, he knew which one he was going to pick out). I took a bunch of pics of them opening thier first gift of the holiday and they were all very excited! Your wondering what they got aren't you? Well they all got roller blades. Devin and Brooke got regular roller blades and Kara got a pair of trainer blades (they are blades that have wheels that look like tricycle wheels, and you can change then to regular blades once she learns how to skate). Of course they all wanted to try them out, so that is what they did. They all put thier blades on and Daddy took them into the garage, then they came in the house and bladed around the kitchen (more like walked because the kitchen isn't very big). They were all very excited! I couldn't get Kara to take her coat or blades off until dinner time.
Devin decided to let us open the gifts that she bought for us at her santa shop at school... Well she got me a candle that smelled like vanilla cookies (smelled very good!) and a ring, it was one of those ones that you can adjust the size but it is very cute! She also made me a neckless at school today as well.
Tomorrow after school starts thier Christmas break! We still have plenty of presents to wrap. I just need to stay away from the stores because I can't stop spending!

The Season of Giving...

Today we Celebrate Christmas with one third of our family. Yes we have 3 Christmas Dinners every year! Today we are having Dinner with my dad's side of the family. No presents will be exchanged today because well times are hard and their are 13 kids in the family! So we are just going to spend the holiday today as a family.
This year I have decided as well that I am going to be teaching my children a lesson about the holidays.. Its not all about getting presents. I admit I have some pretty greedy children, the Hubby and I tried to prevent this when they were little but our oldest managed to get spoiled (and believe me we tried our damnedest to prevent it). So this year as a lesson the this holiday season is more about giving then receiving I will have my children take some money out of their spending money boxes and donate it to good cause. I will give them a few choices of causes and let them choose which cause they want to donate to.
They got new coats this year and we will be donating them as well to some children who need warm coats this winter.
I've said it in a previous post but I'll say it again. I use to be all about me I loved getting presents and that's all I cared about. But having children as made me more excited about giving gifts and such things then receiving them. And of course what a great lesson to teach your children right? Their are people out there less fortunate then us and its time for my children to learn how to help those less fortunate then ourselves.
Are you going to be giving this year? If so please feel free to share!

Its beginning to....

The Stockings are hung by the Chimney with Care

and on the entertainment center

The Tree's are decorated to the T's
with ornaments, balls, and beads

The lights are flickering throughout the house

The trains are running around the base

The chairs are decorated with Santa hats, with Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer senory near by

The mirrors are dawned with garland
and looking more beautiful then ever
Its beginning to look alot like Christmas! And thank god for that because I hate when Christmas doesn't feel like Christmas! There is snow everywhere, and decorations too!
I love this time of year when it actually feels like Christmas, especially since its a week away!

Christmas Traditions....

Most families have some kind of Tradition, but most tradition revolve around Christmas don't they? What are you family Traditions?

The Hubby's family has a few Traditions that I love! The first is Our Christmas tree Tradition, every year we go to a tree lot and cut down our own Christmas tree. We have even found a lot that has kinda become apart of the tradition because they have a great price for tree's and have a great selection as well. We actually go to a gentlemans house were he has pine trees growing all over his yard, he provides you with the saw you need to cut down your tree, after picking out your tree when you go to pay for it, we usually chat with him for a minute while the kids play with his sweet dog and then he gives the girls candy canes. This is a great thing to do as a family since we love having a real Christmas tree in the house and the kids get to help pick the tree out, while the Hubby has the pleasure of chopping it down himself. And then as we do every year once we pick out tree out we take it home and set it up and as a family decorate it. This year We even allowed the girls to drag the tree a little bit which they loved helping that way :) The kids all have thier special ornaments that they get to put on the tree were ever they please. Then we hang out stockings and do the rest of the decorating, of course since moving in with my parents some of our traditions have changed slightly, we no longer have to decorate the house ourselves (which for me is okay because I hate that part hehe).

Another family Tradition that my in-laws have is we make our own fudge each year. Okay its more of a Tradition for the wives since we are the ones that make the fudge while the husbands hang out in the garage. But its still alot of fun to hang out with the in-laws and make some very tasty fudge.

One new Tradition that I kinda started last year was getting all the girls matching jammies that they wear Christmas eve, of course after that they get to wear them when ever they please but they don't get to even open thier jammies until Christmas eve before going to bed.

My side of the family doesn't have many Traditions but one that we've had for as long as I can remember is every Thanksgiving after dinner we sit at the table going through the store ads and write out our Christmas list together. Usually I try to write out the girls list early because well they want alot of stuff so I go through the ads with them before we go to dinner so that we can make photo copies and I don't have to write out 4 list numerous times.

Its always great to have some kind of tradition, whether is small like writing your Christmas list with the rest of the family but at least its something that you are doing together as a family.

If you care to share your traditions with me please do so in the comments section :)

And don't forget to jump over to Jeremyplaysguitar.com and share your traditions or stories with them for a chance to win a personalized song just for you! Entries must be recieved by December 15th! :)

Christmas Shopping!!

With Christmas just weeks away I have gotten to the point where all I wanna do is shop but you know what I don't want to actually go out and shop I wanna Cyber shop! Who doesn't love shopping from the comfort of thier own couch or bed? (or desk if you don't have laptop). I was blog reading today and found and cute gift for David over at The Vintage Pearl. I have never ordered from them before but I have been wanting to they have some very cute thing. But today after reading another bloggers blog I headed over there again (sorry I can't remember which blog I was on). I found this super cute keychain....

Except his will say Daddy in the middle and have all 4 girlies names on it. I can't wait to give it to him! If your wondering why I would post this its because The Hubby doesn't read my blog (he just chooses not to) Of course watch this be the one time he decides to check it out, haha.

I have definatly done my fair share of E-shopping this year. Unfortunitly like I said the other day most of its been cyber window shopping. Its so much easier then dragging all the kiddos out in the cold to shop when I can't buy anything for them in front of them anyways. So for now till The Hubby is ready to do some shopping this is how I Christmas shop. I love Christmas shopping I Love buying gifts for people, I may love buying things for others more then I love buying things for myself!

Have a Great Day!

Pee Pee in the Potty! (sung to a tune)

This took me a few days to write and post so forgive my inaccuracies on dates:)

I honestly don't know if I mentioned this before and I really don't want to go back and look but we are officially potty training Kara. Just shy of 2 years she has made the decision that she is ready to use the potty. We knew it was close when she began taking off her diaper all the time when it was dirty and when she began pulling poop on her diaper and handing it to people, but I knew for sure the day she took her diaper off and actually told me she had to go potty and went, instead of the old sit on the potty sing "poo poo in the potty" or "pee pee in the potty" then jumping off and saying done (when she has done nothing at all, but sing a song). She finally will sit on the potty and actually go! Things have gone well with it, She is still in her pull ups but when her diaper is dirty she lets us know (most of the time) and will go pee in the potty before she gets a new diaper on. The main problem we are having right now with her is that she does not like wearing underwear! If you put underwear on her instead of a diaper she cries usually until either she finally realizes your not going to change her (which last night was about 15 minutes) or until you change her. I can already tell that this is going to be a long drawn out process but since the older two did not even attempt potty training until they were 2 1/2 and Kara is still 8 days away from her 2nd birthday we have some time to get her potty trained and I am not going to force her into it.

Kara turns 2 in just 9 days and well the terrible 2's have kicked in for sure! Ever since the Halloween candy was brought into the house this kid has been on a candy kick and well she finds ways to get into the candy and its getting pretty annoying for sure to tell her NO every few minutes. She's began hitting and scratching and yelling at everyone, oh I hope this is just a phase because if not we're in trouble!

I've mentioned before that I signed up to be a PTPA Evaluator and so far I've only evaluated one product, yeah I'm kinda bummed about that but I look forward to my evaluation. But I won something from PTPA! This is actually the 2nd time I have won a product from them, I don't know if I ever posted about it but I won a Coral product for thier Fan Friday giveaway awhile ago. and this week I was so happy to find out that I won for making my profile... You know what I won? A product called EasyDaysies If you have never heard of them you can either click on the link that I just posted or you can go to PTPA's Social Media Heather's review of the poduct. I can't wait to get it and try it out, I am so unorganized it would be nice to have something to help me organize my Oh So hectic life. Since I won it they are not asking for a review but I will probably still let you all know what I think about the product so keep watch for that.

I'm not much for online shopping I admit it, I would prefer to go to the store and pick and choose clothes that way but I have been shopping on Etsy and Ebay lately mainly for photography props because like I have posted before I am starting to take the kids photos myself and well I need props. I have already decided that I am going to ask for photography props for Christmas, which will probably mainly consist of back drops (you know fabric for the back ground of my photos). Anyways back to what I was saying. I have been looking at props on Etsy and I would love to buy some things from there but right now I just have that kind of money to spend, so I went over to Ebay to see what I could find and I found about 5 cute little hats that I won for $0.01 (one of them I got for $0.95) and I got a pair of angel wings with halo for $1.50 which I will use for Carly's 6 month photo's. I went a bit over board though and started bidding on clothes and won 7 outfits that were just to cute, one was a pair of cutie jammies for Kara that say big sister and are pink and zebra print and then each of the 3 older girlies get 2 outfits each for Christmas. I'll post some pictures of them when they open them :) The only other problem I am having is I want to bid on so many things, its just not possible to buy it all if I win. So I have to pace myself with all the bidding.

Is this all enough for you to take in? Has this post been long and overwhelming? Sorry about that but like I said at the beginning it took me a few days to write it so its all over the place. Not to mention there is more I want to talk about so hopefully you will be seeing more post soon

Have a Great Day!

Santa Clause has came to town...

Well Santa has came and left! His Elfs all help stock and stack. The Stockings are all hung by the chimney with care and pack so tight they may fall from there. Hopefully by morning when the kids rise from their beds the stockings will still be hanging and the cat won't be dead (ok so that may be a little dramatic but its funny ain't it).

Yes our Stockings are so full that we are afraid one slight move may bring them tumbling to the ground. We had fun getting everything ready, that we want to go wake the girls so that they can open all thier presents now! We dont want to wait. Hopefully I will get some sleep tonight.

Merry Christmas to All and to All a good Night!

Not feeling the spirit anymore....

I know I have been so excited about Christmas lately.... but you know, I think my holiday spirit is gone.....
I am just not feeling it anymore. I am sure a lot of it has to do with the fact that I my body is running rampid with hormones, but there are other things that are bothering me as well (which they probably shouldn't be but I just can't help it)..... I feel like crying. I don't know maybe it is because I got in the spirit to soon and the waiting has just got to me but there are only 2 days left! Tomorrow we will go to my in laws for Christmas, We usually exchange gifts and have Pizza. Then on Christmas morning we will open presents with the kids, get ready and go back to the in laws to visit and then come back home for my family dinner. Sounds easy enough right? It would be if we didn't live 40 minutes away from the in laws now. I just wish I didn't feel like this right now, its almost Christmas I don't want to be upset.

Is it okay if I vent a little? if not you don't have to stay and listen anymore....

Maybe its also because we live so far from all of our friends and can't hang out like we use to, I know we didn't hang out with them constantly but now we barely hang out at all. I've tried inviting our friends out here but usually it seems to far for them to travel (usually because of the gas) (but we travel out there all the time!) We go out that way to visit his parents every weekend and when our friends want to hang out we drive out there to hang out with them (with no complaints) I know we live far from them but we like it out here (yeah the drive does suck) but were we live everything is right here, there is barely any traffic (expect during the holidays). I don't know maybe they don't like the fact that we live with my parents but trust me my parents aren't boring old folks. And we have a hang out in the basement complete with a TV, Wii, couch, toys for the kiddo (which I have to constantly watch when we are at a friends house because they have breakables and stairs that are not child proof) Oh and we also have a king sized bed for then to stay in if they don't want to take the long drive home that night. Or maybe just as my blog is titled, maybe just maybe we are that boring and people don't like hanging out with us... Or is it the kiddos? Sorry but we have 3 kids and we can't get rid of them all the time.... Again sorry for the rant and rave but my hormones have my mind racing more then normal and I just have to get it out, I am getting tired of keeping it bottled up in fear of who might read it and who might have their feelings hurt.... Because really does it matter if I hurt someone else's feelings since mine are already hurt?

If you stuck around long enough to read this whole thing... Thanks for listening to me bitch and moan.....

Have a Great Day

Cute kids, Puppy dogs, and Clouds...

I can't promise that this post won't be filled with randomness because I can almost guarantee it will be just like most of my other (sorry my mind is always running with tons of different things...) Another thing is sorry if my pictures are all over the stinking place.. Seriously doesn't anyone else have issues getting pictures were you want them with this stupid thing? I hate that I have to organize them were I want them every time I download them....
But Anyways here you go......

I don't know why I downloaded this picture but seriously what is up with this face?
Okay so maybe she had food in her mouth, yeah what am I saying it's probably a damn dog biscuit, yeah that's right my baby girl eats dog biscuits!

Yeah I have weird children okay. Kara enjoys the occasional dog biscuit (which she usually steals from one of our 3 dogs). Even I have to admit sometimes that I don't understand my kids they are really strange. For example this morning Brooke decided to watch WallE (her favorite movie I have to add). Not even 5 minutes into the movie she is asking if after WallE we can watch UP.

Did I also mention that my little girls have attitude problems and smart ass mouths?
Perfect example (okay I will give you two)... The other day my mom was asking Brooke what she wanted to eat, Brooke decided she want soup, my mom asked her what kind and she chose Shrek soup, but just to be funny my mom kept mis saying Shrek, after a few minutes of this Brooke got irritated and said "Its called Shrek soup Idiot!" Now around here its funny but at the same time we can't let her start calling people idiots so as we are trying to keep in our laughter we have to tell her that we don't call people idiots.
Then the next day we are at Meijer and she see this giant red striped sock monkey for like $20.
She asks "Are you going to buy that for me?"
No Brookie I am not Christmas is next week,
" I thought you loved me?"
oh no you did not just pull that on me!
" Oh Yes I Did!"
Okay so yeah I didn't yell at her or tell her that was wrong to say, I just started laughing I thought it was funny! The things that come out of Brooke's mouth can crack you up.
So this weekend was a pretty eventful one...
Saturday morning Brooke woke up with a horrible sounding cough. By Saturday night it was worse, her and Devin decided to sleep in my mom & dads room and when my dad went to move Brooke over she couldn't stop coughing she coughed for an hour, we tried to give her some of her Albuterol for her Asthma thinking it may help but it didn't eventually she was gasping for air because she was coughing so much! So me and my mom took her to the ER, the doctor could hear her in the hallway (okay everyone could hear her!) and as soon as he walked in, he informed us that she had croup! I admit I freaked out a bit, I have never had to deal with this before I had no clue what it was. They gave her a breathing treatment of epinephrine and some liquid steroids and sent us home with a prescription of steroids. For those of you who have never had to deal with it, its not as bad as many people make it out to sound. All it really is, is a viral infection of the throat that causes the airway to swell up, which causes the barking seal cough sound. From the info I got from the doctor it is basically a cold and your throat is swollen. They told us that we needed to give her plenty of cold fluids to bring the swelling down and we could also either put her in a room with hot steam or put her outside in the cold air. She is doing so much better now (doesn't even cough at night anymore) and when she has a coughing fit during the day we have her stick her head out the door and take some deep breathes and it helps so much! Well me and my mom didn't get home till 3 am and then had to wake up early because we were having my dads family Christmas dinner at the house on Sunday. Everyone had a good time (especially my girls).
Afterwards we went over to our Friends Jeff and Nikki's house to hang out with them and my Brother in law Billy and his wife Ashley because it was Nikki's Birthday.
I brought their daughter Kaylee's Christmas present so that she could open it. and I had to take some pic's of her. So first I actually had to torture their dog Lacey first. Doesn't Lacey looks so cute in her little bow that I forced her to wear? (haha)
Then I had this cute idea to take some pictures of Kaylee in the box that we had put her present in, good thing she is 3 months old because she was able to sit in the box pretty well... See for yourself!

Okay so I don't exactly know what she was doing with that fist there (maybe thinking about punching me in the head for putting her the box?) But I just love how she was posing with her arm up on the edge of the box like that (no one put her that way she did it herself) I wish I could have got her smiling at the camera but hey I had to make some silly faces to get her to smile at me in the first place.

Then Nikki (or maybe it was Ashley) had the idea to put a Christmas bow on her head, so mommy put some bows in her hair on her head. She is a cutie pie isn't she? I just loved the raised eyebrow look she was giving us (her mommy was next to me taking pictures as well).
We took the head band of and put just a Christmas bow on her head, and then she gave us this look.... isn't it just the cutest face you've ever seen? I just loved that look!
After I was done taking some cute shots of Kaylee in a box, I took her over to the rocking chair and tried to get her to go nite nite, Kara wasn't to happy that mommy was holding a baby so I tried rocking both of them ( I need the practice you know) it would have worked out if Kara wasn't being a busy body and wanted out of my lap 2 seconds later.
Yesterday I went to Meijers to get some odds and ends and decided I wanted to start a new tradition and get the girls new Jammies every year to wear on Christmas eve. But I caved and gave um to them last night. (I'm a sucker for new clothes and love to use them right away!)
So I got some individual shots of the girls....

Oh did I mention that these night gowns came with night gowns for thier dolly's? So of course we had to dress up their dolly's too.
Devin had some issues finding the perfect doll, so I told her just to put the gown on one of her favorite stuffed animals so she chose her Pandi.

Kara of course had to be the difficult child and refused to hold her dolly.
Now I ask you how difficult is it to get 3 little girls in the same outfit to take a good picture?
More then 3 I'll tell you that. I didn't have to many issues with Devin and Brooke, but Kara just did not want to cooperate!

See what I mean?

This was the best shot I could get of the 3 of them. At least Devin and Brooke look adorable to bad Kara is look away!

Have I ever told you about how much a Diva my children are? Brooke was hanging out in my moms bed the other day watching tv by herself, which in itself is funny because she is small and the bed is king sized. She told my mom "you should take a picture of me in your bed with my sleeping mask on" So my mom did. after which Brooke tells her " you can go get me some water now." I thought it was funny that Brooke wanted my mom to take her picture so I grabbed my camera and headed up stairs to do the same. Once I got up there I told her that I wanted to take some pictures of her in Grandmas bed and asked her to smile.

I can't smile, I already smile for grandma when she took my picture.
Come on Brookie smile for me just once?
No I can't I already did for grandma

please?
No leave me alone I want to watch tv.....

Do I have to tickle it out of you?

and so I finally got her to smile.......(sort of)

Have you ever just looked at the sky while your driving? Okay so that may be dangerous because then your not paying attention to your driving, so let me refraze that... Have you ever just looked at the sky when someone else is driving?

I always am.... I love looking at the clouds, they are pretty stinking amazing aren't they? The other day we were driving (don't ask me were because I seriously can't remember) and I looked into the sky to see these strange ass cloud formations....

Now tell me that doesn't look crazy? Okay in person it looked alot cooler but still......
Has this post been long enough for you? I guess I shouldn't wait days between post because then I have so much to say the next time I post something.
So with only 3 more days till Christmas (wow 3 more days!) are you in the spirit yet? You know how I keep myself in the holiday spirit? I watch alot of Christmas shows, if there isn't one on tv then I grab on of our many Christmas movies. I just can't seem to watch normal tv with Christmas so close ( I usually get this way about 2 weeks prior to Christmas). Today is Devin's last day of school for Christmas break, Yay I get to sleep in the next week!!! Well if my children will allow me to (which I hope they do).
Well I guess this will be all for now (I can't promise that I won't post again today), You know I lay down at night and I think of all the things that I am going to talk about and have some wonderful ideas then all of a sudden I sign on and I can't think of anything to talk about!
Have a Great Day!
