5 days and other such stuff...

Guess What?
We're on Day 5 of cloth diapering with Kara and still going strong.... I caved last night and put on a disposable because on the off chance that she actually slept through the night I didn't want to have to deal with an overly soaked cloth diaper and good thing I did to, she did wake once but it wasn't long after she went to bed. I'm sure I will get into the hang of things and start using them at night with a booster but until then, its a trial and error for me and I get use to cloth diapering. I think I am doing pretty good, although I haven't really went any where in the last 5 days, except for maybe the park but thats it. The girls did go somewhere on Saturday but she was with my parents and they used the disposables that day for convience. Of course it does seem to me that I am the only one that is changing her diapers but I guess I don't mind (I can't believe I just said that!). I'm keeping up with cleaning them everyday to every other day although drying them takes for flipping ever! I need to figure something out on the odor because I have notice that they still have a bit of the pee smell to them once clean but I read on how to possibly get rid of it and will try with the next wash. Again I am new at this so I'm sure I will figure it all out, I'm glad we decided to use these with Kara as well because it gives me a chance to get use to them before our new little bundle gets here. Thankfully Kara is loving her new diapers, she loves showing them off to everyone and how pretty the patterns are.

Of Course since you haven't heard any news we are still waiting for this kid to make her appearance. I'm trying to be patient I really am but I am definatly getting impatient over here, I've been trying to be a little more active then I normally am so that I can hopefully work this baby out, but so far no go. I have my doctors appointment on Thursday and if this kid doesn't make her appearance by then we'll be scheduling our induction (which hopefully will be no later then Saturday).

Tomorrow is the Hubby's Birthday, I feel kind of bad because I had to wait till last Friday to order his present so now it won't be here on time, but I already figured out how to handle that and plan on getting him something else to open on his birthday. Today me and the girlies will be making his Birthday cards (from them).

So for now we wait.... I hope I will be updating soon and telling you all that we've had a new baby...

Have a Great Day!

The Hubby Gave his Approval

Yes you read that right, The Hubby has given his approval, on what you are probably thinking.... Well at my 35 week appointment my doctor told me that if I went into labor that I had the go ahead to have the baby! I was excited, lets get this kid out! But the Hubby wasn't happy about that and wanted me to wait... Mainly because he didn't want us to have another Birthday in July (since mine and Devin's birthdays are in July). We were joking and playing around last night (I know cute ain't it) and he was making me laugh ALOT and I was having a few contractions, I told him to stop or he might send me into labor, He told me its August now so its okay. We were aiming to having the baby hopefully on the 12th (since we are our own until after 39 weeks) but now that it is August the Hubby has given me approval and said that I can have the baby anytime now! I'm excited about this although I will be waiting a few days, since as I have said before Our kiddos are born either the day before, day of, or day after a holiday or birthday. The Hubby's grandfather's Birthday is on the 5th (he passed away before me and the hubby began dating) I am thinking this could be the day because well I believe in signs, believe me when it has come to our kids we have had many signs from loved ones. But recently the mother in law was playing her daily numbers in the lotto and she normally does not play the hubby's grandfathers birthday but for some reason she just had this feeling to play the number and she won! I could be overreacting but to me that may be a sign that the baby will be showing her face around then! But even if she doesn't show up that day, my grandmothers birthday is the 6th and then Hubby's is the 11th and Brother in law's is the 13th so there are my days that I am aiming for.... Again either the day before, the day of, or day after. If your confused as to what I am talking about let me elaborate... Zachary was born the day after Fathers day, Devin was born the Day after my birthday (and 2 days after the 4th of July), Brooke was born the day before St. Patty's day, and Kara was born on veterans day).
I still think it would be cool to have the baby on the 12th since our first child together was born the day after my birthday so it would be nice to have our last born the day after his birthday, but.... I also think it would be nice to have the baby come on the hubby's grandfathers birthday or my grandmother's birthday. so I am torn, obviously this kid is going to come when she is ready (unless I am induced) so around the 5th (maybe the night before) I will begin trying natural labor inductions, like walking and labor cookies and other such TMI things, and if she is ready then great! If she is not then we will just have to wait till she is, I'll continue with the labor induction techniques on the 6th & 7th and if that doesn't work then I will begin them again on the Hubby's birthday. So basically I am hoping to announce our newest addition with in the next week!
Stayed tooned because you never know it could happen sooner then you think!

Have a Great Day!

Saving money & Doctor appointments

So do you remember this post? You know it was something about being "Crunchy" but not really knowing if I could commit to it. Well Me and the Hubby have been discussing saving money and ways that we could save money and yep as soon as we started discussing saving money I started think a little crunchy only because I know it can help us save money. So I went online (were else would I go?) and started to do some research. I found a website in a magazine (I believe it was mother & baby magazine but I'm not positive about that). But anyways the website is called Diaperjunction.com, I decided to check it out and found that they had some Bumkin All In One Diapers on Clearance. Wow, those are pretty cheap I thought (for all in ones), I started crunching (haha no pun intended) numbers. How long would these diapers last us if I bought X amount and how much would it cost us (approximately) if we were to buy disposables for that amount of time, and wow I have had people do the research for me but when you actually do it yourself it sinks in so much better! I knew this is the way we should go to save money, especially since these diapers were on clearance. So after showing the Hubby my number crunching he agreed to let me purchase the diapers.

So yesterday I took the plunge (as nervous as I was) sorry I know that in the long run we will save tons of money BUT I was just very apprehensive about spending that much money in one purchase. So I did it.... I bought 16 small diapers and 16 medium diapers to last us about 18 months.

This is just an example of one of the diapers I purchased, they had many designs but I couldn't get the picture off thier website to show one of the even cuter designs. I'm excited and can't wait to get the diapers in to see them, obviously we can't try them out right away since baby isn't here yet, unless she comes within the next 5-10 days (since thats what the shipping is on them) haha. Hey you never know she could show up within that time period since well I'm in pain and such. We'll see what happens within the next few weeks. I am anxious to meet this little girl and so ready for her to be here! I'm excited becuase I got my Belly Bandit in the mail the other day so I'm excited to try that out! The anticipation is getting to me! There are so many things that I am excited about right now.... I really can not wait to start breastfeeding, does that sound weird? I really want to make this work no matter what this time around (since we had so many failures with my other kiddos), and I know that will help us save money on formula (another way to save money), then we will see how it goes but I have been possibly thinking about making my own baby food. But we will see when we come to that road.....

Of course I am not looking forward to all the doctors appointments in the next few weeks. Mine I'm fine with because that means I am so much closer to having this baby. But Brookie has her Physical Therapy appointments and Devin has an ENT appointment I believe thats it but thats still 4 doctors appointments in the next month for my kids then to top it off I have my weekly OB appointments and have to have this baby somewhere in there too. I am so greatful that I have my mom to help me out with all this (I know I have said that alot lately, at least to myself I have).
Oh speaking of doctors appointments, Devin and Brooke got their teeth cleaned the other day at the Dentist (on Thursday) and then on Friday we had to go back so that Devin could get 3 cavities filled and 1 tooth sealed. That kiddo is going to cost me alot in dental bills. She's only 7 and had the 3 cavities filled, and the one tooth sealed, she was suppose to get 3 more sealed but we just couldn't afford all that after the cleaning and the other stuff on Friday. But to top it off the kid has one tooth that has come in scarred because for some reason the enamel didn't form correctly on that tooth, then back when she was 2 1/2 she fell and shoved her front baby teeth into her adult teeth so the one tooth is scarred from that. Then... (yeah I know) her front 4 adult teeth that have come in are very jagged and will need to be filed down to make them straight across. I think that is all, there is so much to remember, you tend to forget somethings. But it has definatly got her more aware of the health of her teeth (that we are constantly nagging her about). I hate to do it because I love our dentist (I've been going there since I was Devins age) but they are so expensive we may be looking at finding a new dentist were we are not paying so much money all the time.
Well its time for me to go...

Have a Great Day!

Have you heard of this before?

Have you seen these before? If you have recently had a baby or are preggo now, you may have heard of them. Its the new craze that alot of preggers are talking about. Are you trying to figure out what it is? Its the Belly Bandit According to the web site "it is an abdominal compression binder designed to help you get your body back to its former fabulousness post childbirth." Now I don't know how well it works because until I got preggo with this kiddo I had never heard of it. I have been curious and wanting to order one ever since I found out about it though. So today I popped over to their website and placed an order for their "White Summer Special" which consists of one of the pretty little Couture Bandits as seen in the picture above a free tote bag and free ground shipping all for $55.95. So I did it I ordered one, I can't wait to get it in the mail and well duh once I have the baby try it out! I was just going to order their original Belly Bandit but I really I figured I am probably getting a good deal with their special (with the free shipping) and plus I like the zebra print one!

I am so hoping that once the babe gets here and I start breastfeeding and wearing the belly bandit that things will start shrinking! Obviously I have stuck to my Fighting the Fat Friday's since well I couldn't exactly loose weight and I stopped doing my daily walks. But once babe gets here I will probably start it back up so expect to see before pictures and progress pictures from using the belly bandit. I will try to keep up with it as much as I can, but I can't guarantee much once she gets here until we see how hectic our schedule will be. I am sure it will be pretty hectic taking care of 4 girls and the fact that one is starting physical therapy for her foot on August 4th, then school will be starting soon after that so I will be dealing with all that.
I am so glad I have my mom here to help support me! She has been wonderful since we moved in helping me with the kiddos! Especially now that I can't move around as much as before.

Thanks for stopping by...
Have a Great Day!

Need Reader Opinions!

We've been discussing names and we need some opinions!

What name do you think we should name our baby?

Bella Mae or Carly Mae?

We like the name Carly but I suggested we come up with a backup name (also I suggested it start with a B).

Thanks

MIA from the Blog World

Wow its been a few days since I last posted, if your counting thats 5 days since the last post. You'll know that I have headaches for almost 3 weeks now! It has sucked horribly to be honest, most days I just want to sleep because that seems to be the only time were I feel like I'm not in pain, until I wake up and then its like I'm smacked in the left side of my head with a hammer. Last week at my doctors appointment the doc was great and gave me a script for tylonal 3's, which I praise her for that unfortunitly it doesn't help for very long. I can take my T3's at night before I go to bed just so I can fall asleep, but once asleep if I am woken the headache comes back full force its awesome I swear! (not) But I am very thankful that in the morning I can take a plain extra strength tylonal and that will either take away my headache for a little while or at least leasen it for a little while. Honestly I don't want to be taking the Tylonal 3's but the fact that it helps me to fall asleep and helps make the regular tylonal stronger, I am doing what I have to do to get through these headaches. I hope if I have to deal with these much longer its just till the end of the pregnancy, because no one has a clue what is causing them. We can all speculate, some of the docs say maybe sinuses (which yeah that could be it since I know I am congested), but I think that maybe its because I clench my jaw in my sleep, then some people think maybe hormones. So maybe its a combination of everything? Perhaps? All I know is that some days I feel like its hard to function, I push through it and am thankful that my mom is here to help me when help is needed. Sleep has been rough lately for me, the other night of course I had went to bed a little later (not to late though) and Kara had ALOT issues and did not want to sleep so you know what happen once Devin left for school? I slept for 5 hours! Yes you heard me right I took a 5 hour nap, then once I ate some lunch and picked Devin up from the bus stop I fell asleep again, not very long but I guess yesterday was my day for sleeping, I even went to bed at 9pm (which is really early for me). I am tired again today and really think I should take a nap but I don't think it will happen, mainly because today my mom is at the hospital getting a gastric tube shoved down her throat to check her stomach for ulcers and such. So its just me and Kara today, and she has already taken her nap so its a bit to late for me to attempt to take a nap.
I'm planning on cutting my moms/my dogs hair today, he is in need for a hair cut badly!
See what I mean? I'm thinking mohawk? My mom wants to keep it some what long (I mean his name is shaggy LOL) so she thinks he looks cute a little shaggy but he is just way to messy right now. That is my main objective today its just a matter of actually doing it.
Tomorrow we plan on participating in the Sub Sale. I hope we have some good luck and actually sell some things, because trust me I never have good luck in garage sales I suck at it!
Saturday we get our girls day for my mother and I, We are getting our hairs did and I am excited, I haven't had my roots done in a while so I can't wait till they get fixed because my hair looks BAD!
So there is a little bit of a update on whats been going on, But I have not been up to blogging for a while just because I've been so tired and dealing with my headaches. (not to mention like my blog title suggests, nothing has really been going on, nothing exciting anyways).
Have a Great Day!

My mind is going 100 miles a min.

I've been trying to think of a good post to write... But I have so many things running through my head right now I can't even think straight. I'm thinking in more of a winding, curvy road going in all directions and driving me insane (or nauseous, either way I am going crazy).
First I looked and I can not find a picture of the retarded contraption I seen yesterday... It was a car that looked like a small airplane and no it didn't have large wings it just looked like an airplane, I couldn't believe my eyes at what I was seeing but for some reason the hubby didn't seem to surprised. What eva it was weird......

Guess what? I'll be 27 weeks tomorrow that means I am almost in my 3rd trimester! Can you believe it 13 more weeks to go! Yea, I can't wait! Although I am so not looking forward to being huge this summer. It was actually warm yesterday and I was already sweating and it wasn't even that hot! I'm in so much trouble. Okay yeah I know what your thinking.... Quit your Bitching! Thats fine I will.... Thanks for at least listening to me Bitch for minute. Can I say something else though (not complaining)? I really, really want to get another ultrasound to find out if we are for sure having a girl! Remember that post a while back that I posted about 3d/4d ultrasounds (sorry I don't feel like linking to it right now) Well they are having some good deals this month and I would really like to take advantage of them. Maybe I can con the hubby in to. :) We'll see....

We gave my dad his Fathers day gift early this year, well we gave it to him yesterday to be exact. A man was going door to door with a booklet for a golf package for pretty cheap, so after consulting with my mom I purchased it, I was worried at first for a few reasons, 1 I know nothing about golf so I had no clue if the package was a good deal or not, come to find out it was a really good deal. 2 I was afraid that I was being ripped off and that scared the shit out of me! My dad was so excited when we gave it to him, he started calling his freinds to tell them what he got and they are already planning all their golf outtings and such. I'm glad he liked it! Now all we have to figure out is what to get the Hubby from the girls for Fathers day. Got any bright ideas? I feel bad because when they are in school they make me Mothers day gifts but when Fathers day rolls around they are no longer in school... So they can't make him anything cute at school. The Hubby really likes his Truck, I guess we can try to get him some things for his truck but without ruining the surprise and asking him what he wants how in the world do I do that?!?! I don't know.....
Speaking of the Hubby.... He's getting promoted at work! They are making him a Forman! I am so proud of him he is such a hard worker and obviously his work knows that as well. He starts running his first big job either tomorrow or Monday (I think). He has run a job or two before just to see how he does but they were small jobs and nothing big, he is actually getting all the Forman perks now!

I know Kara has 6 more months till she hits 2 but its official she has hit the terrible 2's and has the tantrums to show it! She likes to get her tooth brush in the morning and brush her teeth with her sisters, which I don't care, the more power to her if she likes brushing her teeth this early on. But I don't like when she grabs the tooth paste and carries it around because I don't want her to open it and make a mess, so I usually just take the toothpaste away. Oh heck NO, she wasn't having any part of that she ran into her sisters room stomping her feet and screaming and then when I tried to hand her, her toothe brush she threw herself on the floor and started kicking and screaming! All because I won't let her carry the tooth paste around the house.
On a better note (as far as Kara goes), Why is it that my 18 month old daughter knows how to take her sweater off and hang it up without anyone saying anything but my 4 year old and 6 1/2 year old walk in the house and throw their sweaters on the floor and have to be promted (many times I might add) to hang their sweaters up?!?! Go figure....

Well....
Have a Great Day!

This kid is a pain in my .....back

You know I understand that when your preggo you shouldn't lay on your back but seriously you can't be expected to lay on your side 10 months! I was laying in bed watching TV with the hubby and the next thing I know my foot starts tingling, I have never experienced this with any of my other pregnancies I have never had any issues with laying on my back but I have noticed I have had some issues with my back with this pregnancy. When I was in the hospital a few weeks back (you remember that post? well go here if you want.) When I was laying in a semi-reclined position I was having some lower back pain during the contractions (seriously back labor already? I'm in trouble!). Anyways with in a minute of moving to my side the tingling in my foot went away, thats a good thing but my only concern (which really isn't a concern) is I some how always end up sleeping on my back at night I know, I know not good but what can I do my hips hurt from laying on my sides so much. Even sitting straight up on the couch or in a chair my lower back and hips hurt, this sucks I still have 13 more weeks left, yep thats right I will be 27 weeks on Friday. I did figure out last night that I can shove a pillow under my back to give me some relieve on my back so I can some what sleep on my back and give my hips some relief.
Sorry I am complaining, I probably sound like a cry baby huh? I should just suck it up huh? Maybe a visit with my chiropractor will get me to stop my bitching..... Thanks for listening!

What a day!

So if you don't follow me on Facebook, Twitter or Myspace then you have no clue of the day that I had yesterday, last night and even into the wee hours of this morning.....
Yesterday started out alright, We went to a funeral for the hubby's best freinds dad. It was a wonderful ceremony, first they did mass at the church that he was baptised in then we went to the cemetary were he had a Military funeral, complete with a 21 gun solute, buggle and taps (If you don't know what that is, its the drum beat they play when a soldier has fallen) and Marines folding the his flag to give to his son. I have never been to a Military funeral so it was all new to me to see all the happened. We even stayed afterward to watch them bury the casket (which I have never seen either) and the men that were there to bury him were very nice and let his son throw in the first scoop of dirt, it was very sweet and very sad at the same time. I was on my feet alot yesterday. I thought I was drinking enough, maybe not enough water, Maybe its just that I had 1 to many caffine drinks (I had 2) and not enough water. But once we got home I just was not feeling right, I tried to take it easy best I could other then trying to take care of the girls (it was shower night). Well we put the girls to bed around 8:15-8:30pm and sat down on the couch and began playing on the computer. Thats when I notice the contractions.... Just about every two minutes, so I sent the hubby a facebook message (okay we were both on the computer in 2 different rooms and I didn't want to yell). So we decided to go to the hospital. They had me pee in a cup and got me all hooked up to the monitors, luckily the baby was cooperating and they were able to monitor the heart rate unfortunitly they had a harder time getting the contractions on the monitor but did finally get them and sure enough I was contracting every 2-5 minutes. They checked my urine and found out I was extremely dehydrated, so the nurse had me down a cup of water and then drink another. The contractions weren't slowing down and some of them were beginning to hurt. So They started and IV, no such luck the contractions were still coming and I had already gone through 2 bags of IV fluids so they check me, no dilation (which is a good thing). So they started another bag and gave me a shot of turbutaline which did slow them down (finally), they decided to give me another shot of it for good measure and sure enough the contractions finally stopped! So I was able to go home at 3 am this morning.
I'm trying to take it easy today to let my uterus relax, luckily its just me and Kara today, as Brooke has school. I haven't really felt many contractions this morning, except like in the last 1/2 hour I have been feeling a bit strange so I am going to hurry up and finish this post and lay down and hope that whatever is going on stops. I am only 24 weeks and 5 days and now is not a good time for this little bundle to be making its appearance just yet. If you are the praying type can you please keep us in your thoughts and prayers that this little turd doesn't decide to make its debut to early.

Have a Great Day!

Fighting the Fat - Preggie Style

So yeah you know I have talked about it before I am totally not happy with my body! Its been a long time since I was happy with my body, but then the kiddo's came along and away it went. Ok thay thats a lie I was actually still okay after baby #1 then when 2 came along I wasn't completely unhappy yet. But now after 4 children and now being preggo with #5, I am SO totally unhappy! I am not a very active person, okay again thats a lie I am not an active person in anyway I completely lazy if there is a way to do something the lazy way I'll do it that way. Of course now being pregnant and having a almost 18 month old I'm a little more active then normal just because I have a little one I am constantly chasing after (especially when outdoors). I began thinking (once the depression kicked in 3 weeks ago), I need to do something! Except there is one small problem.... I'm pregnant so there is no way of loosing weight right now, right?

So I began thinking once again (can you see I have been thinking ALOT lately?) Is there a way of getting fit & in shape with out dieting and hurting the baby? Well eating healthy is obvious! We snack alot in this house, and although I have been making my children eat healthier foods I haven't been following through and eating alot of healthier food, mainly because there is so much chocolate and fatty foods in this house. Thats were I am making the first change, now when I go shopping I am going to go more for the fruits and veggies (mainly fruits) and less for the chocolate and chips. My mom wants to work out and eat healthy and loose weight as well, so this is for both of us to have some support. So we have decided to also start walking everyday, of course I won't be over doing it or anything. I've also decided to do some prenatal yoga every other day as well. Ok so today I didn't do real great as far as the eating well goes since I had some cookies with ready whip but then again I am preggo so HA I can do it without penalty, right?
Have you ever tried cookies with ready whip? What you do is buy some soft cookies (soft batch are best but chewy chips ahoy are good to) and then top the cookie off with some extra creamy rediwhip, no not cool whip it has to be rediwhip. Some times you can add a cookie on top to make a sandwich and thats pretty good too!

Oh yeah thats right back to eating healthy and staying fit. Sorry I got distracted there. I might update weekly to let ya'll know how I am doing with it, or I may not we'll just have to see now won't we.
Well its time me to eat some dinner with my family....

Have a Great Day!

The Weekend...

Saturday 1 & 2 (Devin & Brooke) were at their great grandma's house (actually they stayed there all weekend) and David was working so although Kara is still a bit young at only 17 1/2 months we dedicated the day to wearing just underwear and sitting on the potty. It went well, no she never pee'd in the potty and she went through 7 pairs of underwear (through out the day), but she is ok with sitting on the toilet and we didn't have any messes to clean up. Lucky for me when she did pee in her undies it was very little amounts, so no mess. Eventually she started to realize that when she pee'd in her underwear that she need to go to the bathroom so she would run to the bathroom door and wait for me to sit her on the toilet. Its a process and although we will not be hurrying to try and get her trained by the time the baby gets here I figure what does it hurt to sit on the potty every so often and try? When she takes a shower or bath, she always (even without me saying anything) wants to sit on the toilet and go pee (even if she doesn't actually pee), but to my surprise (and I think to her's as well) she pee'd in the toilet last night before her shower, I clapped and got excited for her and she got a big smile! Of course she may not have pee'd if I wasn't splashing little bits of cold water on her naked tummy, but I figured everytime she gets in the tub and the water hits her feet she pee's so why not splash a little on her to get her motivated, right? It worked!
Sunday wasn't to busy of a day, sort of... We had to pick the girls up from my grandma's, and then go over to my freind Stacey's house to drop off her daughter Abby's birthday present, which I feel horrible because he birthday was on the 9th and we were just able to make it over there this weekend, but then again I have had sick kids every weekend since the 9th. One of the things that really sucks about moving in with my parents is that we live so far from our freinds now, I don't see Stacey as often as I use to, and that really bum's me out! We have been freinds since the 3rd grade and although we both lead somewhat busy lives its nice to hang out with your freind when you want to and not have to worry that you live to far away from them. The kids didn't really get to play for very long because Stacey had things that need to be done and we were going over to my mother in laws to visit (which we do every Sunday if you haven't picked up on that). We also got to see the kitty's they are growing up so much! Its cute to watch them walking now because they are still a little wobbly at 4 weeks old. Devin and Brooke gave the kittys some temporary names the last time they were at their grandma's house and I took some updated pictures for thier new owners, so I though I would share....
This here is "Kevin" He is still sort of looking for a new
Home. We have someone who will take him if we can't find
him a home, but still have time to look (till he is ready to leave mommy).
This here is "Evan" He reminds me of a little Teddy Bear and
has the sweetest little laid back temporment.
Meet "Spots" He is Devin's favorite kitty
and this here is "Sweetie Pie", Evan's twin sister and the
only little girl out of the bunch

Aren't they cute? They certainly are! I keep joking with my mom that we are going to bring "Kevin" home because the hubby likes that kitty. Of course my mom says that ain't happening and really I don't blame her, we have 3 male dogs and 3 females cats (not to mention the 4 adults & soon to be 4 children) in this house.

I was talking to my mother in law about my doubt in what the sex of the baby is, you may remember me talking about it in this post I have my reason and they may just because I've been hoping for a boy, I know that the baby is probably most likely a girl but I still have my little doubts and I think my mother in law understands were I am coming from if she understood what I was talking about completely (not alot of people understand the whole ultrasound thing and how to read them). But anyways, we were discussing if I will be getting another ultrasound done, and I would really like another one because I would love to see if we get a different opinion on the sex of the baby. But the mother in law made a good point... wouldn't it be nice to just wait till the baby gets here and be surprized by the fact that it may be a boy? Yeah that would be pretty awesome and I thought about it I may just wait, but the more I think about it the more I begin to think I still really don't want to wait, I am an impatient person. haha In my opinion 9 months is to long to wait for a baby (which I am sure alot of preggo mommies agree with me). I'm about 23 1/2 weeks now and I just don't want to wait.... Obviously I have no choice, baby needs time to grow and get healthy enough to be out here with us. So I am still not exactly sure if I will ask what the sex is again if we get another ultrasound or not, I guess we'll just have to see if I even get another ultrasound.....

My mom and I have discussed taking daily walks (so I can get in better shape with this pregnancy) I know its kinda stupid to have waited till I was almost 6 months pregnant but better late then never right?

But she made me take a Nap!

Last week when Brooke went to school she was really happy and couldn't wait to go. Later on in the day I had found out that she got upset and cried a little because she missed me and wanted me to come get her. But she had a great day at school the rest of the day. I even let her pick which day she wanted to go to school this week. She picked today which happens to be PJ day and the day that the fire department comes to talk to the kids. She was excited and even Devin (who is on spring break) wanted to got to her school to see the firemen. Once Brooke woke up this morning her attitude drastically changed. I don't like that school I want to go to another school she kept telling, I asked why and she said because I don't like my teacher, again I asked why? She said because she made me take a nap last week and I didn't want to. I tried to explain to her that she doesn't have to nap but she does have to lay down on the cot and be quite for quite time. She started to get even more upset when we got to school and no sooner did we walk into her classroom the tears began to fall. I of course didn't want to leave her and upset her even worse, so I stuck around trying to get her to stop, That process took an hour! She did however finally calm down and ate some breakfast and even though she was still upset she allowed me to leave (with protest). I hated leaving her but with the way her school is set up I have to pay even if she doesn't go and I don't want to unless she is absolutely sick or something, not to mention this is only her 2nd day of school. I hate doing this to her and it makes me want to take her out of school (since she doesn't seem to be ready) but she needs to get use to school right? She certainly can't take off Kindergarten or a higher grade because she is afraid of school. I guess its a good thing its only once a week huh?

Today is my 20 week check up, I get to see if I have gained any weight or not (I think I have gained a few pounds) and I get to find out more information on the cysts and if they will do another ultrasound later. Of course I want another one just to make sure that we are indeed having a girl.
In the mean time, Devin and Kara are here running around the house playing and having fun.

Have a Great Day!

3D VS 4D

So yesterday I annouced we will be again having a girl. Bummed? Slightly, but still happy to have a healthy baby growing inside of me, and you know maybe its my curiosity or maybe its my disbelief that I will have 4 girls but I started wondering could of the technician been wrong? Well of course she could have its more likely that she was not. I did see the ultrasound and I did see the lines but when I was looking I noticed that the middle line was long then the side lines.

If you look at this picture (of a girl ultrasound) you see the middle line is longer then the sides BUT the longer part of the line is going into the body.

My ultrasound the longer middle line was facing away from the body.
If you look at this ultrasound (of a boy) you see there is kinda 3 lines as well and the middle one is longer and facing outside of the body. I am not saying that my ultrasound looked identical to this but I'm trying to make a point.
So I started thinking as I was researching ultrsound pictures because of course when you type in male or female ultrasound it brings up 3D and 4D ultrasounds. Of course 4D ultrasounds are more detailed.

Its a Boy! (can you tell?)

Its a Girl! (can you tell?)
So I started thinking maybe we should look into getting a 4D ultrasound. I have never had one and I know that hospitals don't offer them and that you have to pay for it yourself but I think it would be cool to get a 4D ultrasound, and ok if we find out the sex of our baby and know for sure, well bonus! So now all I have to do it talk to the hubby and see what he thinks. I hope he is on board with this.
Some of you may be thinking, come on she told you it was a girl just get over and be happy. Yes I know she said its a girl and yes I know she is probably most likely right, and yes I am happy! But that doesn't mean I don't want to make sure that we are for sure having a girl (before I go spending more money on clothes, since I spent a butt load yesterday).
So I am off to talk to the Hubby and see about getting a 4D ultrasound.

Just 2 more days

I am filled with excitement to think that in just 2 days we will be finding out the sex of the little bundle of joy that I am carrying in my uterus. But at the same time I am cautiously upset. I have 3 wonderful little girls that I love and adore with all my heart, and yes while I have a son that I will always love even if he can't be here on earth with us, I want that chance to have another son, I want to raise a little boy. I know I shouldn't be upset, I shouldn't be selfish because there are families and women out there that can't even have children and I have been blessed with what will soon be 4 live children. I also do not hold a grudge against god for taking my little boy away from me, I know he had his reasons and I respect that but I still would like to have that chance to have a little boy to raise. I know that no matter what we are having I will love this child the same as I love my other 4. I don't want to come off as being greedy at what I have I know I am blessed to have the children that I have, and I feel awful for the families who try so hard to have children and can't. I can't help feel the way I feel I just want to have a little boy and I hope on Monday when I go in for my Ultrasound the technician tells me that we will be expecting a boy. But even if he or she doesn't say its a boy, I may be upset at first but I know that I will be so happy, excited and in love as soon as I see that precious little miracle in person.
Thanks for listening.....

Guess what we bought....

So if you read this post, then you know that we were looking at buying some new bedding. that looked like this....

And guess what we did buy it! I tried to get the hubby to let me buy some decals for the wall and the mobile but he wouldn't let me (spoilsport).

We did Partake in the Babies R Us trade in event as well (and if you were thinking about it click here for the details, You have until February 20th. I was worried because the car seat was made back in 2005 and we no longer had the base for it (someone borrowed it and never gave it back). So we looked at new car seats and found this one below....

Its not gender specific, It looks nice and it was nicely priced (especially after the 25% off from the trade it). If your wondering its a Baby Trend Flex-Loc infant car seat in Sonic. The cool feature about it is that you don't have to re thread the arm straps there is an adjuster in the back that moves the head rest up so adjusting isn't a pain in the behind anymore. There is also a foot cover to keep wind from blowing up the blanket if you have a blanket covering the baby up. If you are interested in all the details of it click here and check out the web site.

Oh and I got our Sophie the Giraffe in the mail yesterday too, but for some reason it doesn't look like I pictured it.....

sleepy time....

So I have been searching and searching for baby bedding for the new little bundle that I am not even 12 weeks preggo with. Yeah I know we have no clue what we are having just yet but I want to start buying some things already. Ok shhh can you keep a secret? But Amanda over at The Eco-Friendly Family posted about the Sophie the Giraffe being on sale at Amazon.com and I took the opportunity to buy one (ok I didn't really save much money because they are like originally around $20 and after shipping I still spent $20, but oh well I finally got a Sophie the Giraffe.

I wanted to buy Kara one but they were so expensive and I just couldn't see spending that much money on a teething toy, but I have really been wanting to get the new baby something and I saw this as my opportunity, but again shh the hubby doesn't know about it yet. Don't worry I will tell him once it comes in the mail but he really doesn't need to know now because he will have no clue what I am talking about anyways.

Anyways back to the bedding. I think we have made up our mind and found a baby bedding that we can all agree on (I say all because I have been asking my moms advice as well). You see Kara and "Junior" will be moving into the office which is a dark red color. I really don't feel like painting the damn room (even though my mom keeps insistanting that I can) to me it will cost money (that I don't want to and don't have to spend) and it will take up time the I don't want to do. So we found a bedding with a dark red color in it that is really cute and gender neutral. I can't wait to go buy it (hopefully this weekend if the hubby will allow me to). I am hopeing to go to Babies R Us or Toys R Us this weekend did you know that they are having a trade in event? well if you didn't click here and go check out I am hoping to take our old car seat in and trading it in for a new car seat. So yeah check out the picture below to see the bedding that we found.

What do you think? Its cute ain't it? I want the whole set! Everything, the bedding set comes with 6 pieces and then they have the wall decals in the back and the lamp and the diaper stacker (ok we don't really need that) and the mobil and the blankie with the giraffe on it. I don't know how the hubby is going to feel about this idea as it will cost some money but everything looks so cute together doesn't it? Oh and did you see the bed skirt I am normally not a fan of them but I just think it is so adorable!!
Since Kara will be sharing a room with the new baby I am still at a loss at what kind of bedding we will get for her toddler bed. But I have some time to figure it out. Well I have to go put my 3 little devil girls to bed.

Have a Great Day!

Triplets....

Yeah your freaking out now to aren't you? Yeah that's the way I felt when I woke up this morning after having a dream that my doctor lied to me and said there was only one baby in there and there happened to be 3!!! This is now the 2nd dream I have had with this pregnancy that I was having triplets, I know that dreams don't always mean anything but wouldn't you freak out too? The first dream I had was about having twins and now triplets. You know and the really strange part about that as well is that I have been afraid since I found out I was preggo that something bad is going to happen.(this is the first time I have told anyone this too!) With all my other pregnancies of course I had my worries but I felt the pregnancy from the beginning it was real to me from the start, but this time around it still hasn't kicked in! Seriously I have had an ultrasound and seen the baby (as well as the heartbeat) and I still am in disbelief that we are having another baby, and with so many people that are pregnant (over on the Aug 2010 pregnancy board on parents.com) are having miscarriages its scaring me more then ever! Usually I have noticeably started showing but this time around it seems like its taking longer to start showing (probably because I am bigger then I was before).
I know that my fears are probably pointless but its hard to not let it bother me.
I just don't know why I feel this way! I wish there was an easy solution to stop these feelings but I have no clue what to do to stop feeling like this! Maybe its because these hormones have me overly sensitive right now, who knows.

But its nap time so....
Have a great Day!

Night #2 didn't go so well.....

Well as the title says, night #2 didn't go so well. Actually that is an understatement night #2 went Horrible!!

When I first put Kara to bed she did just fine took her bottle and fell asleep right away. When I put her sisters to bed she didn't wake up, and me and the hubby were even able to go to Meijers (with my mom keeping an eye on the kids) and she never woke up. But as soon as we got home around 11pm and got ready to watch the movie Paranormal Activity, Kara started fussing.... I went to her room gave her binkie and covered her back up. Seconds later she was crying again.... So I went into her room and layed down with her, played some of her bedtime music (her musical toys) and rubbed her eyes...... Nothing! So I got her another bottle (which I hate doing so soon after she went to bed) she took it and I went and started watching the movie, again she woke up! So I went to her room layed with her some more.... again nothing! I eventually ended up changing her diaper and giving her some water.... still nothing! After tireless efferts (and missing pretty much most of the movie) I figured out to take the bottom cushion of the chair in the office and set it up against the edge of her bed to keep her "closed in" like she was with the crib. She just does not like having an open bed she wants to be closed in but its to dangerous to keep her in her crib. So for now we will use the cushion and then maybe this weekend I will go to the store and buy her a bedrail.

On another note, my nausea hasn't been to bad today. Other then the fact that I haven't been to hungry and have only had an carnation instant breakfast drink and a pear and its quarter after 3. I would like some taco bell but no one wants to go and get it for me. What ever happen to the supportive husband that goes and gets his pregnant wife whatever she is craving? Do those kind of husbands exsist anymore? I may have to go get it myself the only problem is I need to get Devin from the bus stop in 45 minutes and I don't want to go out right now (yeah I know I have time) but damn I get stuff for people all the time! (even if I am tired and don't want to leave the house. Oh well I guess I will just bitch here and pout around the house..... LOL

Have a Great Day!

How was your weekend?

Wow its been a few days since I last posted huh? Not a whole lot going on here. The Hubby has been layed off so we have been spending alot of time together. Over the weekend we went to his parents house, Unfortunitly I spent most of the time trying to sleep. The doctor gave me anti nausea medication and it was causeing me to completely pass out yeah you heard me correctly Friday as I was trying to cook dinner I was just couldn't keep my eyes open, I finished cooking dinner and didn't even eat it I went to the couch and fell fast asleep. The Hubby tried waking me up for 3 hours and it just was not happening! He was finally able to wake me up at 8pm. I woke up, ate my dinner (finally) and then went back to bed till the next morning were I kept falling asleep on the couch until Kara went down for her nap and then I slept till 11am. Come to find out, extreme drowsiness is a severe side effect of the medication. I called the doctor but they said I should be fine and not to worry about it. But of course I am going to worry about it, how am I suppose to take care of my children if I can't stay awake? Thankfully my family has been very helpful!

Sunday we didn't do much of anything, well the hubby went to his brothers to work on his race truck ( I bought him a new carborator for it for Christmas). I on the other hand mostly relaxed, I wasn't feeling to well I tried having a cup of pop and there was just to much carbination and it caused me to have a really bad upset stomach. When hubby finally got home and we ate dinner, we took the kids in the basement and played Super Mario Bro's Wii. We are trying to be beat the game the right way (getting all the gold coins in each level, did you know that there is a world 9 once you beat the game? You have to get all the gold coins in each world to play the levels in world 9, it takes forever when you are trying to get all those coins we have finally made it to level 7 but we are missing some coins in level 6. I'm sure you don't want to hear about us staying up till 1am playing video games do you? We also spent all day Monday playing to but it was nice because the kids were playing (and watching us) while we played.

The hubby got called back to work today, but we don't know if it will be a one day job or longer. He was just getting use to staying home. I told him, it maybe boring to stay home all the time but you get so use to it you just don't want to go back to work.

Kara has been doing pretty good sleeping for the past week or so and of course the night that I go to bed early and need to get some sleep (because I have to get up early to get Devin ready for school) she decides to wake up 3:30 in the morning and fuss until 5 am! I kept her in her bed because she can't get use to waking up and watching tv every morning (which is what I use to do). So she messed around for about to hours fussing and such, why couldn't she just play with her toys that are in her bed quitly so I could sleep? So yeah now I am tired and need a nap, Maybe I will take one since she is sleeping in this morning (you would to if you were up for 2 hours in the middle of the night!)

Have a Great Day!

Hello Junior!

I would like to interduce you to Junior. Junior is 9 weeks today. The picture is a little blurry so its hard to see that that there really is a head and body and not just a blob. Actually when you are looking at the picture in person you can see were the leg is (or has) formed. Junior is Due August 20, 2010. Yeah we got some time till we actually meet Junior and at least a few months till we find out if Junior is a boy or a girl. My first appointment with my new doctor wasn't to bad a normal prenatal check up, went over some history and already discussed doing NST's (non stress tests) starting around 30 weeks (like I had with my previous pregnancies due to the loss of my first child). She didn't order any blood work, which I thought was kinda weird but that could be due to the fact that she asked if I wanted STD testing and I said no. I know I haven't been with anyone else for over 8 years and (as far as I know) neither has the hubby. At the end of the visit I asked the receptionist about getting a bag that they give to the preggo's and she happily gave me one and said if I wanted I could get one at every visit, I laughed it off until I got in the car and realized I may want one at every visit. In each little messanger bad is a 32oz bottle of premade similac formula! Those bottles are like almost $6 at the store! I know I plan on breastfeeding but it wouldnt hurt to stock up just in case those plans fall thru now would it? The bags are cute little bags (not to big) and we decided that they might be perfect for over night bags for the kids. Oh I forgot to mention an awesome point (well for me at least) with hesitation the doctor prescribed me some medication for my nausea!!! (they don't like giving meds during the first trimester if they don't have to). So that was my appointment in a nut shell.

Have a Great Day!
