Banishing the Binky!

The first 10 minutes were fine, until her sisters began there bed time stalling tactics.. You know the usual " my belly hurts", " I have to pee", yeah that kind of stuff.  That's when it got bad, that's when the request for the binky began.  I defiantly knew that its was gonna be hard, especially with Kara and the attachment that she has to that stinking thing!  Well that and #1 & #2 were extremely attached to it.  But today I thought maybe it might be slightly different.  I bet your wondering why (how)? Well we were shopping at the grocery store today and Kara was sitting in the shopping cart with her binky in her mouth (while I was trying to push the cart and caring Carly).  A women that works at the grocery store walked up to us and began talking to Kara.  She told Kara that she was a big girl and didn't need her binky anymore.  She told Kara to take it out of her mouth (which she did) and then she told Kara to give it to me (which she did again).  She continued to "lecture" Kara for around 5 minutes about how she is a big girl and a big sister and she shouldn't have a binky any more and she should only have sippy cups.  As soon as she walked away, Kara immediately asked for her binky but I didn't give it to her, I put it in my purse and continued on shopping.  Eventually we made it to the baby isle, Kara seen some sippys and made a request for a knew one.  I told her that if I got her new sippy cups for her that she had to get rid of her binkies.

When she first went to bed things seemed to be alright, she of course asked for her binky but I gave her, her new sippy cup filled with water and told her "remember you said no more binkys if I bought you the sippy cup", she wimpered but layed down.  I think the night would have gone much better if her older sisters weren't playing in the bed and keeping her from falling asleep.  Then she kept hurting herself (again probably because her sisters were playing instead of going to sleep.  By the 3rd time that Kara hurt herself the older 2 decided they were going to go into the top bunk to leave Kara alone.  Kara was out in less then 10 minutes!  We have very few meltdowns for the binky that night.  Not that we didnt have any because we did but thankfully they where few and they were minor.

So I think I can say that night number 1 without the binky was a success!!
I just hope we have good luck with night number 2....

Inappropriate toys for kids!

Okay so have any of you heard of this doll that has been selling over in Europe for 4 years now?  They plan on bringing the doll to the USA to sell.  No big deal right? Well the controversy behind the doll is that its called "The Breast Milk Baby"  there is a sensor in the the doll that if you bring it close to your shirt the doll will make motions and sucking noises just like a breast fed baby would.
Now I am all for breast feeding I even attempted to breast feed all four of my children (only to have a problem with each one *insert sad face here*) But personally I think having a doll that breast feeds or pretends to breast feed is just going over board as far as baby dolls go.  I can see your child pretends to breast feed a doll on thier own but I certainly do not see myself buying a doll that "breast feeds".  Really personally I think toy creators have gone to far with all that they are trying to get dolls to do.  Okay a baby that "eats" and "drinks", not to bad... even one that "pee's" isn't that aweful either but the baby doll that "pees" and "poops" I think is just ridiculous!   What ever happen to just letting kids use there imaginations for all this kind of stuff?  And for that matter I already have to clean up after my kids and pets I certainly don't want to have to clean up after a toy baby doll!
Whats your opinions on this?  Do you think this doll is appropriate for children or have toy creators gone a bit to far?

From my phone..

Let's see how well I do at this post as I am typing it on my phone! Don't you just live technology? I do! (most of the time). I have not been on my computer much lately mainly because I can do so much from my phone now and if I have unlimited data plan and I'm paying for it them I'm gonna use it!! You would figure I would prefer to use the computer but I have gotten so use to the portability of my phone! It's hard to go from one to another, when I pos on my blog I normally do it from my computer but today I am being lazy and just don't want to get it out. I'm tired/exhausted confused and irritated, upset and did I mention tired? Yes defiantly tired!
The kids are out of school and boy did we start the summer vacation off with a bang? We've been almost constantly arguing with my almost 8 year old daughter. For some reason the last day of school she came home with a massive attitude and has been back talking and argumentative ever since, not quite sure were it came from either. Them to make it so much better she has decided on a daily basis to ask me to take her to he beach, one most of the days have not been that warm and two I'm not taking for children to the beach by myself during the summer!
Oh and as lovely as that has all been my two year olds sleep schedule is all jacked up (she was up a 3 am the other day and ready to begin the day!) I have no clue how it got so messed up maybe it's because she refuses to nap most days! The 5 year old is whining even more then normal but that's probably because her older sister is annoying the he'll out of her and anyone who gets in her path!! Wow I guess that just leaves the baby huh? Yeah she hasn't been to bad to deal with.
As you can see I've been having a rough time, just letting the stress of parenthood get to me I guess, I'll get through it but sometimes I just want to lock myself in my room and block it all out! Don't you? There's not shame in saying it gets to you, there's also no shame in saying that your kids aggregate you because I don't care what people say nobody's kids are perfect life is stressful and there is no way. Your family is always 100% happy and perfect and if you think that way then you are in complete denial!! I hate to say it like that but I have seen people complain on Facebook and such saying they hate seeing people complain about there kids but if you think about it, one I love my kids to death, but they are my life and my job if you can go on Facebook and twitter and complain about your job I can complain about my job!! Right?? Exactly!! So shut your pie hole!!

I just need to close my eyes, just for a second...

I know, I know I haven't posted in a while and I didn't do a Sucking it in Saturday post either.  No Excuses right?  Well I will still give you my reasons as I am sure you may be wondering what the heck is going on (unless you could really give a shit less then I will still tell you- so there!)
One this weekend was a somewhat busy weekend for us, although 2 out of the 4 children were not  home this weekend, We had a birthday party to go to, the Hubs and I went to the casino (it felt great to have a night just the two of us).  And then of course we had to pick up the kids as well.
Well we did not get the house, its a bummer I know and I think right now we are at a crossroads at what to do because there are tons of houses out there that are for sale but the only problem is they are far from our price range or have the quilities we are looking for... so I am not exactly sure what we are doing at this point.
I have not been exercising nor have I been eating right, I know bad me!  Obviously my goal will not be reached by my 30th.  I'm also not sure were I will go from here.  I do want to loose more weight that is for sure but at the point in time when I look in the mirror (with clothes)I like what I see, I'm not thrilled with it but I am happy.  Now standing in front of a mirror naked is a total other story I hated it, I fear it, I could probably cry if I did it long enough.  But I think at this point with my confort level I think SIIS will be put on hold I am happy and excited and proud of myself for loosing the first 20lbs!  I am working on other aspects of my looks right now as well.  My teeth are a mess, (not as bad as you may think) but I am whitening them so that my two front teeth can have crowns placed.  I need to make a doctors appointment to find out why in the world I still have no energy and why I am so tired all the time but I have been to tired to make the appointment.  I have been taking over the counter iron pills and B12 and still they have had no affect on me.  I hope we figure something out soon because I can barely function like this and I would like to have the energy to begin exercising again.
Schools out for Summer! This is a good thing and a not so good thing.  Good thing I don't have to get up early as hell every morning to get Devin off to school, and hurry home every day to pick her up from the bus stop, not so good news.... the kids still get up early as hell!  I know have 4 kids to deal with during the day which would be fine if my almost 8 year old didn't have such a horrible attitude lately ( I pray she is not starting puberty early!), and now if I go any where I have to take all of them with me.  But we will get through this as we do every summer, but this will be my first summer with 4 in tow.
Well that is all for now, I hope to update a little more this week but no promises.

LEMONADE JUST .25 CENTS

My 7 year old was yelling that alot this weekend....
So this weekend was some what busy.  The weather was great, and the kids had a wonderful time outside.  Our subdivision had a sub wide garage sale this weekend.  Devin decided to she wanted to have a lemonade stand, since she was unable to have one last year.  We set it up on Friday when she got home from school, then Saturday we set it up again.  She made a good amount of money since she was selling it for .25 cents a glass.  She got bored pretty quickly though seeing as she didn't have constant business, she kept asking to close it up early.  If she went even 5 minutes without a customer she would get super upset and think no one would ever come to buy lemonade.  She would get so upset if people just passed by her, I felt bad because there were some people that did basically just snub her off, which seriously come on do you really think you need to be rude to a 7 year old?  There were actually people, a few kids and a few adults that actually laughed at her because she was having a lemonade stand, the worst one of all was the girl who jipped Devin out of money, yeah I mean it she was selling lemonade for .25 cents and some one gave her .15 cents! Seriously your gonna jip a 7 year old for a glass of lemonade!! What the heck is wrong with people?  I was so irriated with all that, I felt bad for Devin, thankfully most of it she didnt realize it was happening.

A Field Trip (or not)

So if you read my last post you may be wondering how the field trip went... Well Devin woke up at 5:30 this morning so excited to go on the field trip she got up early and started getting ready and kept trying to get me to wake up early so that I could get ready, so yeah she was super excited about me going on the field trip with her.  Unfortunatly because of the rain the field trip was cancelled.  Even her teacher said she new Devin was going to be upset because she had been jumping up and down running around all week at school being so excited that I was going on her field trip with her.  I really didn't want to break the news to her I felt so bad, she was devistated.  They will reschedule the field trip but she was still very upset.  To make her morning even worse she was heading back into the house to get her shoes and she didnt know her sister (Carly) was leaning on the garage door and Carly fell and rolled down the stair (2 steps).  Carly was okay and only cried for a minute but Devin was so upset.  I finally got her to calm down before the bus go to the house but I guess this morning just wasn't her day.  She is doing better now if you were wondering.  We went to a few houses in our sub and she got a stuffed elephant so she is happy now :)

Ear infections and Class trips

We had a late night run to the emergency room last night, miss Kara kept waking up screaming (and I mean screaming/crying) that her ear hurt.  So I took her in and sure enough she has an ear infection, so no shes on zithromax and tylonal with codeine for pain (mainly to help her sleep).  She slept in a bit this morning, and later I looked at her ear only to find that she has a ruptured ear drum :(
Thankfully she seems to be doing okay today.  She napped for a while, and is now awake again.  The bad news is she probably needs ear tubes and the ENT can't get her in until July.  This is her 4th ear infection this year.  Yes 4 ear infections in 5 months.  I just hope that if she gets the tubes placed that it will help her.  Devin does good when she has her tubes, problem is that when they fall out she has all sorts of problems again.
Okay I am sure there are all sorts of parents out there that have chaperoned their kids field trip before but to be honest, I never have.  Ever since Devin has been in school I have had another child to take care of so I never volunteered.  Devin has been begging me and begging me to chaperoned a field trip.  So finally my mom said that I needed to chaperon a field trip, she told me she would watch the other girls.  The field trip is this week and as it has gotten closer and closer I am getting more nervous, really don't ask me why but I am.  I'm not a person who likes to be in charge of big things.  No, really I'm serious, at the kids birthday parties up until this year I would make my mom or grandma tell everyone that it is time to open presents or make them start singing Happy Birthday. Seriously this is my family and I still have issues.  Well at least I am better with dealing with children, so I should do better but I just hope I don't end up with any rowdy kiddos.  I guess we will see how things go this week...

Great ending to a Great weekend....

Well let me first off say Happy Mothers Day to all the Mommies out there!!  I hope you had a wonderful day with your families!  I know I sure did, thanks for asking (hehe).  I got home from my busy day to see that I had won a contest! Yeah ain't that a great way to end a mothers day?  I sure think so! I won a cute flower necklace from the blog Sassy Sippy Cups & Sticky Sarcasam, you can check out her blog and while you are at it if you like the necklace that I just won, then you can go head over to her Etsy shop
Pretty Lil Pieces and check out her other selection of necklaces.
So what a great end to a great weekend.
I'm only going to say that the diet was out the window still, but tomorrow I promise I'm back at it!  I am hating myself right now for letting myself go lately and I am not longer going to allow!  Remember No More Excuses!
Saturday we had a great day over at the in laws and finished off the day playing Hide & Seek!  Everyone had a great time.  If you were wondering there were my 4 kiddo's (if you can really count Carly since she had no choice anyways) and 7 adults playing.  We all had so much fun and probably would have not stopped playing if the kids hadn't gotten so warn out.  If only they would have been so warn out that they would have slept in this morning but nope they were up bright and early!  I was so exhausted this morning but like I said it was great!
We've got two teething babies in the house right now.  Kara is getting her two year molars, if you have kids who have gone through this you know how stinking crabby, cranky and painful this can be.  Carly is getting her top two teeth, one has already broke through but the other one will be in any day now. So again you know how cranky a teething child can be.  We had a visit with Brooke's Pediatrician the other day to go through her Asthma action plan.  I really do not understand why her previous doctors never went through this stuff with us before.  We now know the signs of her asthma acting up and what we should do.  She does not have attacks like most people with asthma, she coughs A LOT when she is having an asthma attack.   I never really realized until now, how often she was probably having asthma problems and didn't even know about it!  While we were playing hid & seek last night she began coughing, normally I would have chocked it up to it getting colder outside and maybe her starting to get sick.  But we checked her air flow and sure enough she was starting to have an attack, and we were able to give her a treatment from her inhaler.  I'm just glad we can finally take care of this matter and she won't have to suffer.  Unfortunately Carly is beginning to (as my neighbor calls it) purring, she is congested and it does sound as though she is purring like a kitty.  My grandma said it seems like her chest was rattling which I hope is not the case.  I really don't want to have to deal with her getting pneumonia again!  So for now we sit back and watch (and listen) and see if its just a cold or something worse.
But for now its time for me to go as I am very tired!

Were does the time go?

Sorry its been a few days.  This change in weather has got me all messed up.  It was wonderful to have the 80 degree weather the other day but going from cold to hot back to chilly, just totally messed me up!  Not to mention its that time of the month.  So I am just totally screwed up right now.  The weekend wasn't super busy but we did go visiting and spent some time with some great freinds on Sunday.   I took a new picture of all the girls would you like to see it?  I'm sure you do :)
Aren't they cute?  You know thier cute!  I wish I would have gotten a more professional picture but we were on our way out the door and my mom needed a picture of them.    I need to get my equipment out and take some pictures of the kiddos but I have been so tired, especially lately.

proof that my not even 8 month old daughter is standing and attempting to walk.  The kid thinks she is old enough and stable enough to walk and is constantly letting go of the furniture and and falling.  She has learned that she can lean up against the furniture and let go.  Its amazing how fast she is learning to get around.  She wants to walk so badly!  She doesn't realize that she doesn't have the balance or complete strength yet, but she is getting there.

Kids grow so quickly don't they?  I've got an almost 8 year old who will be in 3rd grade this fall, I have a 5 year old who will be starting kindergarden in the fall, I have a 2 1/2 year old who is finally potty training and doing so well with it, and a baby who will be 8  months in 2 days, that is trying to walk already!!
I gotta go baby girl is tired but refusing to sleep...

seriously!

And... Here we go again!  Okay yeah maybe I am being a little mellow dramatic about it, no wait, yeah I am being a little dramatic about it.  Carly (sigh) once again has pneumonia!  Yes she had pneumonia has at the end of February beginning of March.  Two weeks ago she had an X-ray which showed her upper right lung was clear (were the pneumonia was), They found something a shadow in the left lung but it was not pneumonia. Last Friday her breathing started to sound crinkly again, we began breathing treatments over the weekend and have continued  through the week.  I decided to make and appointment for her the other day, since Brooke and Kara had their check ups today.  The doc checked her out and listened to her lungs and unfortunately, sigh... She has pneumonia again! This time in her lower right lung.
I found this all out last Friday so I guess this is a little late for updating but we were surprisingly busy over the weekend.  I know shocking ain't it?  Not to mention I am shredding it out with Jillian for 20 minutes a day now (more on that Saturday).
Okay so we weren't like super busy or anything but I was trying to be good and not play on the computer to much.  I did well if I do say so myself.
Today however although I have exercises and showered and took care of my kids, I have surfed the web A LOT today.  Its a habit, okay maybe not a habit more like an addiction.  I know you know what I am talking about, okay maybe all of you don't but I know a few of you out there have to have the same addiction as me.  I know I cant be the only one. Can I?

So anyways, like I was saying yes we are dealing with antibiotics and breathing treatments once again.  Thankfully though she does not have it as severe as the last time.
She is an active child more active then I expected a 7 1/2 month old.  She is every where!  Crawling standing attempting to walk on the furniture.

I'll make a seperate post to prove all that later.
until then...

She knows how to make people laugh.  And loves to be a comedian.

Her favorite movie is Toy Story and she hates to be alone.
She  loves playing on the computer, and playing with her cousin Little D.  She loves being with her sisters but loves to stare at Carly Mae.

not my intentions....

Is it just me or.... Has this blog seemed to turn more into a weight loss blog?  I never intended it to happen that way but I guess since starting this weight loss journey it has incompassed most of my life.  Believe me, I know my family gets tired of me talking about the weight I've lost or how I can't eat this or that because there are to many calories in it.
I had decided this morning that this were going to be different I was going to get up early, doing a bit of laundry, empty the dishwasher out, clean up a little bit, and then exercise for (at least) 30 minutes, since I didn't exercise yesterday.  But as I went to bed (later then normal), my Oh So obnoxious 2 year old decided that she wasn't ready for bed and stayed up until 2am!  Little miss Carly woke up multiple times last night as well and to top it all off I just could not sleep worth a crap!  And if that wasn't all bad enough, the school bus was early this morning and I had to drive Devin to school.  So today we started off horribly bad!  But I did start doing laundry, got the dishwasher emptied and took a nap (sorry I had to!)  But now I still need to exercise and do all the other things I wanted to do, like try to attempt to potty train my 2 year old who, hates to be wet but pees in her underwear every chance she gets....   Maybe this is a sign that she is just not ready yet?  And yet I just received another sign.  I had to take a break from writing this post because Kara woke up from her nap is sering pain.  The poor thing has another ear infection!  That is her third ear infection this year alone.  The poor baby is really upset right now, extremely cranky and just down right miserable right now...  I feel so bad for her, she is in a lot of pain...

I'm sure I'll share more tomorrow.

Me and My Crazy Kids....

So its been a while since I last posted some pictures of the kids and I.  So how about a little up-e-date?

Me?

I'm doing good. I'm tired (as always) but I'm managing to function some how (not sure how).  Taking care of the children's.  I'm exercising and the weight and inches are coming off!  The picture above shows me wearing a shirt that as you can see is baggy on me. Well the last time I wore it, it was tight all over.  So I'm sure you can understand my excitement.  I don't want to get into it to much since tomorrow is sucking it in saturday and we can talk about it more then :)

Devin?

Devin is doing well.  She is doing good in school. Although she is constantly telling us she is bad in certain subjects she really isn't but for some reason she believes she is.  She has yet another cavity that needs to be filled and will eventually need braces.  She use to be so excited about braces, wanting them  before her adult teeth started coming in but now she doesn't. Go figure I don't understand kids...

Brooke?

I think Brooke is going through a growth spurt, this child is constantly eating!   She's still her drama queen self and still very emotional.  I hope its just a phase but I guess only time will tell.  She is extremely interested in playing Nick Jr. Games on the computer right now.  She has learned a lot from pre-k and is doing so well in spelling.  She can spell her first name, last name and her sister Kara's name. She is turning 5 soon. They grow up so fast!  If you have kids of your own then you already know this don't you?  Of course you do!

Kara?

What can I say about my Karbear?  She is an extremely active 2 year old! She loves her binkie and her blankey and refuses to potty train.  She is a stubburn little butt monkey!  But her smile keeps me from being mad at her.  She loves to be naked, even during these cold winter months and no matter were we go she trys to take her shoes off (even at the store).  When she is shirtless we call her gibby and she loves it! (iCarly reference).  She has piercing ice blue eyes that can melt your heart!

Carly?

My baby bundle... Carly is doing a lot better since her stay in the hospital due to RSV, Bronchiolitis and Pneumonia.  Her breathing is noticably better.  She doesn't even sound sick anymore.  She needs to get an updated x-ray to make sure her lungs are clear but I don't doubt that they are.  She's on the move now a days learning to scoot and crawl.  She is extremely close to sitting up on her own. and she has 2 teeth.  She wants to be held all the time which doesn't allow me to do much, unless I can find a way for her to be occupied with her toys.  Thankfully she likes playing (sometimes haha).

And there you have an update on me and the kids.

Bad Influences

Why are big sisters such bad influences on their little sisters?
Today #1 and I went to the store, well before the store I had to take #1 to get her blood draw because she will again be having ear tubes put in and possibly her adenoids taken out again. Anyways we went to the store to buy mommy (that's me) a new scale and she figured since she was brave and didn't cry that she should get a toy.  I told her if she wants a new toy so bad she would have to buy it herself (with her spending money).  So she bought a little pig looking thing stuffed animal.  Well when we got home I told her that she needed to pay me back for the pig thing.  She actually some how conned #2 into buying it for her.  Of course we didn't allow this, but she tried hard to get away with it.
But its just funny how older sisters influence thier little sisters to doing things they really don't want to do.

Just wanted to share

I vow to... Wait didn't I do this already?

I've said it a hundred times... I've started something and I was all excited about it but my energy level was just not there and I slacked and I stopped doing what I was doing and became disappointed in myself.  I had become a slacker and instead of getting motivated to start doing it again, I got upset and slacked even more.    My energy level has deminished this few months, yeah I've been exercising but I still have no energy I'm exhausted all the time I literally have to force myself just to get out of bed to do anything.  I just want to sleep all day!  I wonder if it is just a lack of sleep, if its caught up with me, but then I wonder is there something wrong with me?  Seriously?  There is no way someone can feel this kind of exhaustion and weakness and not have something wrong with them!  Okay it sounds like I am having an pity party and getting ahead of myself, but I'm not so please bear with me..  So today I made an appointment, I will get checked tomorrow, I am going to find out what the hell is wrong with me and start working to fix it and get some damn energy!

With the way that I am feeling I feel like I am failing as a parent, seriously I do!  Don't be mistaken I am taking care of my kids, I feed them, I bath them and they are well cared for but there is so much more that I can do for them.  I could play with them, do activities with them.  We can learn new things and take trips places.  But right now, these things are not happening.  I do have to say that to me a child doesn't need to be occupied by thier parent all the time, they do need to be able to entertain themselfs and play with thier toys and thier siblings without thinking that thier parent should be there playing with them constantly.  But sadly I don't do much with them right now because my energy levels are so low, I'm lucky that I even exercise once a day.  But I don't want to be like that anymore! Its time to take action! and that is what I am doing.  I have an almost 5 year old that needs to learn new things before entering kindergarten in the fall and while she has learned things in preschool I want to teach her more!  I have a 2 year old that needs to be potty trained and weened from her pacifier and taught new things.  I have an infant that while theres not much more we can do right now, she will be ready to start learning things eventually. And well I have a 7 year old that I just need to spend more time with in general.  Our relationship is slacking (thats a whole other post in itself!).  I have a house that constantly needs to be straightened up and laundry that constantly needs to be done.  Breakfasts, lunches, and dinners that need to be made.  And while all this does get done, some of it takes a while for me to get it done.  Because I am so tired I spend most of my day lying around, this just can't be normal thing... Can it?
Since I spent a few days in the hospital with Carly I was broken from my somewhat routine (which I really didn't have one), So today I get back into the swing of things,  I slacked on eating right in the hospital but then again I was more concerned about Carly then loosing weight.  Today I start back.  Time to begin exercising again so obviously I just added 3 more days onto the end of my 12 weeks transformation (which I don't mind).  But again I have no energy... I didn't sleep much in the hospital because Carly didn't sleep much. So I have to try to catch up on that as well.  :)

Home, Oh Sweet Home!

We are home! I am so happy that Carly is able to regulate her oxygen now.. I am so glad we are now home! Last night was a horrible night in the hospital. We had some visitors which I was so happy about but Carly didn't fall asleep until 11:30pm then the respiratory therapist came in at 12am to give her, her breathing treatment so guess what? Yeah you guessed it she woke up! It took another 1/2 hour to get her to fall asleep problem with that? She refused to sleep in her crib so can you guess were she slept? Yep in my arms, I had to sleep in the recliner rocking chair in the room next to her crib which okay it wasn't to uncomfortable but its not very easy to sleep when you are holding a sick infant in your arms in a hospital room, and nurses are constantly coming in and out. Some just came to check her vitals or her temp, breathing treatments were easy when she was completely asleep (as long as they didn't turn the lights on). But then every so often a nurse would come in, and wake me up.... I needed to adjust how she was laying because her oxygen would still drop and as long as we didn't have to give her oxygen we were good. So yeah I was woken up a few times so I could adjust the way she was laying on me. I found out this morning why she had such a rough time sleeping (other then the fact that we were in the hospital and she was getting tired of it), Her 2nd tooth came in last night! So yes that was the reason I slept for shit last night...

It was so great to hear the news that we were going to get to go home this morning. But once home I couldn't rest, nope once home I had to put things away, take a shower and get ready to go register Brooke for kindergarten! Good thing we came home today... Then me and Brooke went looking for a bakery to make her Birthday cake, which unfortunately there are not many bakery's in our area that will do a custom cake for cheap (or even that will do a custom cake). Then we needed to do a big of grocery shopping, because we needed formula. So yes once out of the hospital my day got pretty busy. We just got back from getting Carly's prescriptions and now I must give her, her antibiotic and breathing treatment. This should be fun because she is sleeping and hates taking medicine so wish me luck on that...

I must begin planning Brooke's 5th birthday party, wow really Brooke is almost 5!? Its just crazy how fast your children grow. I mean really how many not even 5 year old children do you know that give themselves a shower and also clean their 2 year old baby sister as well? Yes that is what Brooke did today (and has done before with help) she took a shower with Kara and helped Kara to get herself clean. Sure some of you may be saying how can I make my not even 5 year old daughter give herself a shower but to be honest, once Devin started giving herself showers Brooke decided she was ready, we told her she would have to wait because of though 4 years old was just to young, but she was persistent and kept asking, so we started to teach her what to do, and now she is so confident that she helps Kara out as well. I'm very proud of my little independent girls. I know I'm biased but my girls are little smarties in their own areas. Even as we speak my little 6 month old is giving herself a breathing treatment

Most of her respiratory therapists were surprised that she took so well to the breathing treatments but she has been getting them for over 3 weeks now you would figure she'd be use to them by now haha.
So tonight I get to sleep in my own bed and hopefully get some sleep.

Getting tired of talking about this...

Geeze it seems like all I ever blog about anymore is being sick or loosing weight... Are you as bored with these subjects as I am?  I am still sick, I think I finally figured out why I can't get rid of whatever this is... Because I am not sleeping, why am I not sleeping you wonder?  Well its very simple (well not really)  I have 4 children but that's not the half of it, I have 4 children who are all sick and one is teething on top of being sick!  I'm having a blast!  You don't seriously believe me do you?  I'm not having a blast I am miserable! I am not sleeping, I am barely eating, because my calories have been changed on myfitnesspal.com to accommodate my new weight.  I've lost 60 calories a day because of my new weight.

I took the children to the doctors today and as of today here is were we stand with my sick children....
#1 and #3 have viral infections, pretty much she said they have post nasel drip and should be fine.  #2 is getting better from her croup and pnuemonia, she just needs to finish her meds. My poor little #4 has bronchilitis, is still wheezing and is now on steriods.  Poor thing is still not feeling good, she had a horrible night sleep last night (as so did I) she is not eating as often, and when I gace her, her breathing treatment for the night she actually started passing out (which she never does).  I really hope this doesn't last to much longer.  I can't stand to see them all sick like this, especially when I am feeling like crap and feel like I am getting worse.  My nose is so stuffed up that I tried to use my netti pot to empty my sinuses and it couldn't do it because I was so clogged up!
I didn't even exercise today because I feel so badly.  But hey at least I am under my calories for today right?  So there you have it...

Oh Snow you didn't!

SNOW!! SNOW!!! SNOW!!!!

I don't very much like snow.  Its cold, and people don't know how to drive in it.  Thankfully I had no reason to travel out in the disasterous 10 inches of snow that we achieved the other night.
Devin had I guess what the school called mid winter break yesterday and well its a good thing to because the kid has been coughing all stinking day!  She is sick, she has a cold or something, thankfully no fever though.  Well I was conflicted because she has been coughing alot but I wasn't sure if I should keep her home from school today.  But I got the phone call last night... The call from her school saying that because of the weather and driving conditions there will be no school on Tuesday.  So I guess I don't need to make that phone call saying that Devin is to sick to go to school.

If you were wondering how our new little family member is doing?  Well he is doing good.  I've finally got the kids to leave him alone for most of the day (since he is nocternal).  We've been letting him run around in the play gate and he seems to like it, to get out of his cage and "play" a little.  Today we actually set up a little area just for him, with his cage inside the play gate, so now he can go in and out of his cage when he wants (when we open up his cage of course).  We don't like to let him out unsupervised because well the little guy can jump pretty stinking high.

MMM Yummy!

So last night My auntie (bless her heart) took my 3 older childrens (yes I purposely wrote childrens) so that they could play with their cousin for the day.  So the Hubby and I decided to do something since we only had baby girl. We didn't make it to bowling on time so we decided to go out to dinner, and do our Valentines day dinner early. Which we realized is the same place we went to for V-day last year.  We may make that our new tradition because well they have very good food!  Its kinda a fancy restaurant (which by the way neither of us were dressed up enough for) and we had an infant with us, probably two things that you shouldn't do at a fancy restaurant, But we did.  Carly did extremely well! We actually got commented on how well she was behaving for being an infant in a fancy restaurant.  The only time she actually got upset and started crying a little was when we were about to leave (2 hours after arriving, ps there was a 1 hour wait for a stinking table because of the busy weekend).  We had many people walking by  Carly as she layed in her car seat next to my chair (out of the way) and everyone made it a point to glance and see if she was sleeping or something because she was being so good.  The matradee actually asked how old she was as we were getting ready to leave because he was so surprised at how well she did!

Yep we had a very good evening even with an infant with us.  I did stray away from my diet last night, sorry I wanted to eat some yummy ass food. and guess what?  I didn't gain a pound!  I'm so glad.  Like I told the hubby I think 1 day a month no matter how well you are doing in dieting, you deserve at least one day to eat what you want or at least one meal to eat what ever floats your boat.  I may do this for every 10lbs I loose maybe that will be my reward :)  I told the hubby that my next 10lbs, we're going to the Cold Stone Creamery I want some damn good ice cream!  Or maybe we will go to one of the chocolate cafes that we seen on the GPS last night!  Or maybe a place that sells really good cupcakes!  I'll figure that out later.
All I know is that even when your dieting you need to indulge sometimes.

I think I strayed away...

Pre-warning the follow was written in advanced and may no longer be accurate at this time. We apologize in advanced if you feel deceived.   Haha, naw I wrote this yesterday (Sunday) because instead of napping while my children nap I am sitting here all sweating after exercising afraid to get up at the moment because with being sick and weak comes even more weakness when you are exercising and sweating while sick.
I know, I know I probably should get my sweaty stinky arse in the shower but while doing said exercises the room got a bit hazy so I thought to myself that getting into a hot shower right away when feeling this was is probably not the best choice on my part.  Even more so because right now its just me and babies and I don't think either of them are going to get up and call 911 or wake me up if my arse is passed out on the bathroom floor.  So I sit here and write to you my fellow readers and writers.  I thought with all the sweating that I have been doing lately that this cold (or whatever the hell it is) would be gone by now, but I guess I was mistaken.
I did a little photo shoot with Carly yesterday (Saturday), I wanted to get some 6 month pictures of her, maybe I will share them with you at a later time.  Can you believe that Carly is going to be 6 months old?  I know they grow so fast don't they?  I did get a few good pictures and I edited them and I even got a cute one of Brooke for her 5 year photo, omg she is going to be 5 this year!  Wooh time flies!  I'm in shocked that my kids are already this old.
To think that this fall I will have 2 children in school!  That's just crazy!  Why can't they be babies forever?  Maybe that is why my mom is getting mad at me because I yet to potty train Kara and The Hubby is mad at me because I haven't taken her Binkie away.  Yep that is most defiantly probably why.  Devin grew up way to fast and while its fun to see the little baby milestones happen early I don't think I am quite ready for my babies to not be babies.  But don't you fear I am working on getting Kara potty trained but lets put it this way, she doesn't want to be so its taking some time.  She gets mad when I put her in underwear, once she is in them she is fine and she will pee in the toilet if you stay on her but even if you are on her little butt constantly she still ends up peeing in her underwear.  For example just the other day I had her in her underpants and she was doing really well peeing in the baby potty.  So we decided to watch some devil television in my room, I kept asking if she had to pee and she kept saying no.  I told her, you make sure tell mommy if you got to pee because I don't want you to pee on my bed and the next thing I know my leg felt hot and wet.... Can you guess what happen?  Yeah she pissed on my bed!  I almost wonder if getting rid of the binkie would be easier then potty training her.  I guess that's what I get for having 2 kids that were a little easier to train now I have to have the tough one.
Well I think its safe to take my shower now....
