Excuses and a New Family Activity...

Sorry I haven't been around much lately, as always I have been totally exhausted but have had a lot of things going on, we looked at another house.. sadly another no go. Took the oldest to her first Detroit Tigers game, and we had a blast!! Found out our oldest was sick, she came home from her great grandmas the other day with a little rash by the next day it had spread to her chest and back and by Saturday it was on her limbs as well.  We took a trip to the ER to find out what the heck was going on with her.  They did a strep test and the rapid test came back negative, so they told us it looked like fifth disease, and since she only had a rash and no other symptoms we thought we were basically good to go, no medication, she was already passed the contagious stage and all we really had to do was make her comfortable with the rash.  Until today when I got a phone call from the ER nurse telling me that her Strep culture came back positive and she indeed has strep!  Its nice to know that my child has had strep all this time and did not know, she has been contagious this whole time and just started her antibiotics.  But at least she is on her way to getting better.

On another note....
I was reading a blog on my Parents.com app on my phone the other day and she was talking about caching and I was totally intrigued!  What the heck is this caching thing, and then I found out its actually called Geocaching, you can go to http://www.geocaching.com/ and join the experience that I just found out yesterday has been going on for 11 years now!  Geocaching is a real-world outdoor treasure hunting game. Players try to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, using GPS-enabled devices and then share their experiences online.

I decided to give this a try, it sounded interesting and I thought it would be something fun to do with the kids.  So we got the app on my phone and started looking for our first cache.  Unfortunitly we couldn't find the first one so we moved on and found one close by, and let me tell ya it sounds like a weird thing to do and you make not think its fun (like my hubby) but just try and once you find your first Geocache you'll be so excited that you'll have to find another one, at least that was our experience.  So once all my errands were run yesterday, I took my oldest (who seemed more interested in it then anyone else) and one of our neighbors and we went searching.  In a 2 hour period we found 7 caches!  Its really strange (at least to me) to think that this has been going on for so long now and people have been doing this and these caches have been out there and we were all totally clueless to it!  Now whenever we go out my oldest asks if there are any caches nearby to search for, and if we have time we go on a little treasure hunt! We've actually thought about taking road trips to look for caches, tons of fun, right?   So if your looking for something fun to do with your kids (year round) then give Geocaching a shot.

Randomness

This may be a TMI post, but don't worry I don't get into to much detail.

The other day I posted that I had taken #3 into the ER for an ear infection on Sunday night, it was a late night for us because of this, I was so happy with the though of going to bed early on Monday night.  But things didn't turn out the way I wanted them to... as bed time drew closer I started feeling the need to pee more often then the pain began.  I'd pee, it hurt and then instant relief then the next thing I knew I was in pain again and felt the urge to pee again, I knew what was going on I was getting a urinary tract infection, and it didn't feel good (one bit).  I started drinking more water hoping to fill my bladder and ease the pain.  Nope not gonna happen!  Finally I couldn't take the pain anymore and took myself into the ER, they ran their test and sure enough I had a UTI and a pretty bad one at that (how in the world it got that bad that quick I have no clue), but thankfully they gave me antibiotics and pain meds to help.  Oh Thank You for the pain meds!! Because I don't think I could have slept that night without them.  But unfortunately I still didn't get home till after 1am!  There was no way I was going to be able to nap Tuesday either since I had to take Carly to the doctors for her 9 month check up and then Kara to have her ears checked because her ear drum ruptured and was bleeding, then we had to go get groceries.  So yeah it was a bit of a busy one for me.  Until this UTI is gone I am kinda off my diet, I'm still watching what I eat for the most part and exercising but did you know that cranberry juice has 120 calories per 8oz?  Yeah totally and I have to drink a lot of it according to the doctors.  The nurse said I need to drink A LOT of water, cranberry juice and frozen lemonade.  She informed me that I needed to drink so much that I should be floating!  That's a lot to drink! Especially when you are not really even thirsty, I'm thankful for Trop 50 because they have lemonade, and lemonade makes me even more thirsty so that helps a little.  I'm so glad that the meds started working fast though!
On another note have you ever heard of Pinterest?  Well if you haven't once your done reading this you should go and check it out and become addicted, as I and many (MANY) others have.  Well my very first time I checked it out I seen something very interesting, ice cream bread, yeah I know sounds weird doesn't it, well click here  for the recipe and then go pick out your favorite ice cream and try it!  Because its the easiest recipe EVER!!  I decided yesterday to try it. I picked out two ice creams Edy's French Silk (which by the way is very good ice cream!!) and Thin Mint.

This is the Thin Mint Ice Cream Bread

Well the French Silk ice cream bread went over well with my family and they finished it off pretty quickly.  The Thin Mint is pretty good but taste better with a little bit of butter on it.  Defiantly something very easy to try and good.

On to another subject - Yeah I am being totally random today ain't I?  We get to look at a house today! A house that we have been trying to look at for a week now! We've finally found a realtor that is willing to help us and not ignore us, seriously I'm not even joking this is the like 6th realtor we've spoken to and she is really nice and knows what we've been going through with other Realtors and is being very helpful! Hopefully I won't stress about it anymore, I know that looking for a new house is stressful but seriously Realtors shouldn't make it more stressful on you.  Everyone that we've spoken to before now, says they would show us the house and then we never heard from them again! Seriously no joke I still haven't heard back from any of them!  I'm just glad that we finally get to see this house, I know that this may not (and probably isn't) "the House" but a girl can hope right?  Its just so hard finding the right house at the right price you know?   I just hope this process doesn't take us forever!

Well I guess that is enough randomness and rambling for the day...

Ear infections and Class trips

We had a late night run to the emergency room last night, miss Kara kept waking up screaming (and I mean screaming/crying) that her ear hurt.  So I took her in and sure enough she has an ear infection, so no shes on zithromax and tylonal with codeine for pain (mainly to help her sleep).  She slept in a bit this morning, and later I looked at her ear only to find that she has a ruptured ear drum :(
Thankfully she seems to be doing okay today.  She napped for a while, and is now awake again.  The bad news is she probably needs ear tubes and the ENT can't get her in until July.  This is her 4th ear infection this year.  Yes 4 ear infections in 5 months.  I just hope that if she gets the tubes placed that it will help her.  Devin does good when she has her tubes, problem is that when they fall out she has all sorts of problems again.
Okay I am sure there are all sorts of parents out there that have chaperoned their kids field trip before but to be honest, I never have.  Ever since Devin has been in school I have had another child to take care of so I never volunteered.  Devin has been begging me and begging me to chaperoned a field trip.  So finally my mom said that I needed to chaperon a field trip, she told me she would watch the other girls.  The field trip is this week and as it has gotten closer and closer I am getting more nervous, really don't ask me why but I am.  I'm not a person who likes to be in charge of big things.  No, really I'm serious, at the kids birthday parties up until this year I would make my mom or grandma tell everyone that it is time to open presents or make them start singing Happy Birthday. Seriously this is my family and I still have issues.  Well at least I am better with dealing with children, so I should do better but I just hope I don't end up with any rowdy kiddos.  I guess we will see how things go this week...

Great ending to a Great weekend....

Well let me first off say Happy Mothers Day to all the Mommies out there!!  I hope you had a wonderful day with your families!  I know I sure did, thanks for asking (hehe).  I got home from my busy day to see that I had won a contest! Yeah ain't that a great way to end a mothers day?  I sure think so! I won a cute flower necklace from the blog Sassy Sippy Cups & Sticky Sarcasam, you can check out her blog and while you are at it if you like the necklace that I just won, then you can go head over to her Etsy shop
Pretty Lil Pieces and check out her other selection of necklaces.
So what a great end to a great weekend.
I'm only going to say that the diet was out the window still, but tomorrow I promise I'm back at it!  I am hating myself right now for letting myself go lately and I am not longer going to allow!  Remember No More Excuses!
Saturday we had a great day over at the in laws and finished off the day playing Hide & Seek!  Everyone had a great time.  If you were wondering there were my 4 kiddo's (if you can really count Carly since she had no choice anyways) and 7 adults playing.  We all had so much fun and probably would have not stopped playing if the kids hadn't gotten so warn out.  If only they would have been so warn out that they would have slept in this morning but nope they were up bright and early!  I was so exhausted this morning but like I said it was great!
We've got two teething babies in the house right now.  Kara is getting her two year molars, if you have kids who have gone through this you know how stinking crabby, cranky and painful this can be.  Carly is getting her top two teeth, one has already broke through but the other one will be in any day now. So again you know how cranky a teething child can be.  We had a visit with Brooke's Pediatrician the other day to go through her Asthma action plan.  I really do not understand why her previous doctors never went through this stuff with us before.  We now know the signs of her asthma acting up and what we should do.  She does not have attacks like most people with asthma, she coughs A LOT when she is having an asthma attack.   I never really realized until now, how often she was probably having asthma problems and didn't even know about it!  While we were playing hid & seek last night she began coughing, normally I would have chocked it up to it getting colder outside and maybe her starting to get sick.  But we checked her air flow and sure enough she was starting to have an attack, and we were able to give her a treatment from her inhaler.  I'm just glad we can finally take care of this matter and she won't have to suffer.  Unfortunately Carly is beginning to (as my neighbor calls it) purring, she is congested and it does sound as though she is purring like a kitty.  My grandma said it seems like her chest was rattling which I hope is not the case.  I really don't want to have to deal with her getting pneumonia again!  So for now we sit back and watch (and listen) and see if its just a cold or something worse.
But for now its time for me to go as I am very tired!

Home, Oh Sweet Home!

We are home! I am so happy that Carly is able to regulate her oxygen now.. I am so glad we are now home! Last night was a horrible night in the hospital. We had some visitors which I was so happy about but Carly didn't fall asleep until 11:30pm then the respiratory therapist came in at 12am to give her, her breathing treatment so guess what? Yeah you guessed it she woke up! It took another 1/2 hour to get her to fall asleep problem with that? She refused to sleep in her crib so can you guess were she slept? Yep in my arms, I had to sleep in the recliner rocking chair in the room next to her crib which okay it wasn't to uncomfortable but its not very easy to sleep when you are holding a sick infant in your arms in a hospital room, and nurses are constantly coming in and out. Some just came to check her vitals or her temp, breathing treatments were easy when she was completely asleep (as long as they didn't turn the lights on). But then every so often a nurse would come in, and wake me up.... I needed to adjust how she was laying because her oxygen would still drop and as long as we didn't have to give her oxygen we were good. So yeah I was woken up a few times so I could adjust the way she was laying on me. I found out this morning why she had such a rough time sleeping (other then the fact that we were in the hospital and she was getting tired of it), Her 2nd tooth came in last night! So yes that was the reason I slept for shit last night...

It was so great to hear the news that we were going to get to go home this morning. But once home I couldn't rest, nope once home I had to put things away, take a shower and get ready to go register Brooke for kindergarten! Good thing we came home today... Then me and Brooke went looking for a bakery to make her Birthday cake, which unfortunately there are not many bakery's in our area that will do a custom cake for cheap (or even that will do a custom cake). Then we needed to do a big of grocery shopping, because we needed formula. So yes once out of the hospital my day got pretty busy. We just got back from getting Carly's prescriptions and now I must give her, her antibiotic and breathing treatment. This should be fun because she is sleeping and hates taking medicine so wish me luck on that...

I must begin planning Brooke's 5th birthday party, wow really Brooke is almost 5!? Its just crazy how fast your children grow. I mean really how many not even 5 year old children do you know that give themselves a shower and also clean their 2 year old baby sister as well? Yes that is what Brooke did today (and has done before with help) she took a shower with Kara and helped Kara to get herself clean. Sure some of you may be saying how can I make my not even 5 year old daughter give herself a shower but to be honest, once Devin started giving herself showers Brooke decided she was ready, we told her she would have to wait because of though 4 years old was just to young, but she was persistent and kept asking, so we started to teach her what to do, and now she is so confident that she helps Kara out as well. I'm very proud of my little independent girls. I know I'm biased but my girls are little smarties in their own areas. Even as we speak my little 6 month old is giving herself a breathing treatment

Most of her respiratory therapists were surprised that she took so well to the breathing treatments but she has been getting them for over 3 weeks now you would figure she'd be use to them by now haha.
So tonight I get to sleep in my own bed and hopefully get some sleep.

Getting tired of talking about this...

Geeze it seems like all I ever blog about anymore is being sick or loosing weight... Are you as bored with these subjects as I am?  I am still sick, I think I finally figured out why I can't get rid of whatever this is... Because I am not sleeping, why am I not sleeping you wonder?  Well its very simple (well not really)  I have 4 children but that's not the half of it, I have 4 children who are all sick and one is teething on top of being sick!  I'm having a blast!  You don't seriously believe me do you?  I'm not having a blast I am miserable! I am not sleeping, I am barely eating, because my calories have been changed on myfitnesspal.com to accommodate my new weight.  I've lost 60 calories a day because of my new weight.

I took the children to the doctors today and as of today here is were we stand with my sick children....
#1 and #3 have viral infections, pretty much she said they have post nasel drip and should be fine.  #2 is getting better from her croup and pnuemonia, she just needs to finish her meds. My poor little #4 has bronchilitis, is still wheezing and is now on steriods.  Poor thing is still not feeling good, she had a horrible night sleep last night (as so did I) she is not eating as often, and when I gace her, her breathing treatment for the night she actually started passing out (which she never does).  I really hope this doesn't last to much longer.  I can't stand to see them all sick like this, especially when I am feeling like crap and feel like I am getting worse.  My nose is so stuffed up that I tried to use my netti pot to empty my sinuses and it couldn't do it because I was so clogged up!
I didn't even exercise today because I feel so badly.  But hey at least I am under my calories for today right?  So there you have it...

This is what my life consists of right now!

So today I woke up... Tired as always.  Still not feeling well, exhausted still going strong.  Disappointment filling my head.  I have for a better lack of words been completely slacking this week, I have been for the most part staying under my calories for the day but for some reason no more weight is coming off.  The fact of the matter is this morning the scale actually went up, to which I am confused about because I exercised yesterday, I stayed under my calories yesterday (or so I thought) and yet this morning the scale went up  1.4lbs.  Of course I am not happy about this what so ever!  I wish I knew the culprit so I could eliminate it but I think the problem lies in me.   For some reason, although I am still sick (2 weeks later) I have been hungry this week.  Is it because of the few calories I have been subjecting myself for the past month that its finally catching up to me and my body is wanting more calories?  I almost believe that is what it is....I would have figured by now that my body would be use to this type of eating, but I guess not.... I guess I must push myself a little harder. Stop slacking so much and make sure that I stick to it more.  I am disappointed today but I know that its all about will power and I have come this far, I know that I can push myself even farther.  Although a nice wonderful full 8 hours of sleep might help, but having 4 children I just don't see that in my future cards....
This week has been full of doctors appointments, and sick children.  Brooke has Pneumonia, but she is doing better already, the fever is down and she is feeling better.   And with all the doctors appointments my focus has not been on dieting and exercise, its been on my mind but on the back of my mind.  I have made sure I exercise daily still, even when I really really dont want to do I have stuck with it.
I have been getting on my families nerves with all the talk about exercising and dieting.  But when you are trying to focus to hard on loosing the weight (especially when you are struggling a bit) its really the only thing I want to talk about right now.  So I am sorry if you are getting tired of these post but other then caring for sick children, being exhausted and doctors appointments, this is all my life consists of right now.... boring right?
I hope you all are having better luck with your weight loss and such....

Yawn....

Sorry its been a few days, there as been a ton of drama going on around here and I am exhausted!  Sleep has not been going to well for me lately, which has caused my sinus infection to continue to linger so I continue to not feel well on top of being sleep deprived.  Good combination right?  My children continue to be sick as well.  Brooke now has croup, the poor child can't stop coughing and there is nothing I can do to help stop the coughing, she needs to cough up the stuff in her lungs.  I think she has the making of an ear infection as well and if that's the case then in the past month all 4 of my children have had ear infections.  Are ear infections contagious?  I wish we there was an instant cure for being sick, wouldn't it be perfect?  It would be nice because then maybe all my children wouldn't be sick and I wouldn't be so damn exhausted and bothering you poor people with how Fing tired I am!  I can go on forever with how tired I am seriously I could!  So as you can see with having sick children there isn't much else going on... We got our taxes done, woo hoo.  I had a decent Valentines day.  The hubby came home and told me I can get an iphone this Friday, so I kinda guess its my Valentines day gift sorta, because he did get me a box of chocolates and a huge bottle of FIGI water, you know the water that is in a square bottle?  Yeah I love that square water!  So that was our Valentines day.  It was pretty eventful, maybe thats not the word, more dramatic then that, but thats a subject I just can't talk about on here.  Sorry I know you really want to know but its just something that I can't tell the public about....

So  I hope I have some better subjects for you later.

Booger Brain

I'm sure you are getting pretty fed up with me complaining about being sick, aren't you?  Well guess what so am I!  Holy moly man, does my head hurt!  I have a sinus headache from hell right now.  My brains are full of boogers! I swear thats what it feels like.  I can feel the pressure all built up in my head, I can feel it behind my eyes, my nose, my cheeks, my forhead.  Get the picture?
I'm so tired and exhausted I can't figure out why in the world I am so damn tired!  I try to get as much sleep as I can but it just doesn't seem to help.  I guess I just sit here and deal... I mean what else can I do right?

No fun exercising while sick :(

A lot of people who get sick decide to stop exercising when they are sick, and OMG I don't blame them one bit because them me say that trying to exercise while you are sick and weak just sucks!  But I thought maybe if I continued I would sweat this out of me faster.  But no luck I am still sick and I don't really feel like it will end soon.  But I'm am sadden to say that today I just couldn't finish my fit yummy mummy exercises.  I wanted to but just doing the first two sets of the superset B took just way to much out of me and I gave up after 10 minutes.  I feel defeated but at the same time I am slightly okay with this because today is the first day in 6 weeks that I did not finish them, today is the first day in 6 weeks were I deviated from the program.  I'm proud of myself for not stopping while being sick but sometimes you just have to say to yourself, today is the day you will take it easy, don't over do it and don't push yourself to the extreme if you can't handle it.  I have children to care for, what if I would have continued on even though my body was telling me it had enough?  I might have passed out and then what?  The oldest child at home right now is my 4 year old and I know she would not know what to do.  If Devin was home I know that things might be okay because she knows my phone number and knows how to dial 911.  So yes I decided that I would not be pushing myself today that I would do what I could and that would be all.  I just hope that this cold goes away soon, so that I can continue on exercising with out this feeling of collapsing.
I'm in the process of teaching Brooke what to do if something ever happens to me, but when she doesn't quite remember everything its difficult.

I just had to share, I felt a bit defeat that I couldn't finish my exercises but now that I shared with all of you I feel better.  :)

This or That?

I'm so sick of being sick!  Okay I really only have been sick for one week but every time I think I am getting better some kind of new symptom arises and I continue to be fatigued and sick.  First it start out with a bad cold or maybe even the flu I don't know, I was exhausted, had a small fever, had the chills and was sweating like crazy.  The chills went away and pretty much so did the sweats, I was even starting to feel better, then my throat started hurting, then my ears began bothering me, sinuses started draining and eyes began itching and burning.  Now a week after it all began my throat still hurts my sinuses are still draining, my eyes hurt a little and my ears a super clogged up.  Its hard to function when you feel like this.  I am still so tired, all I want to do is sleep but with 4 kids to care for that is nearly next to impossible.  I try to manage a nap when the babies nap, or at least while one baby naps and the others watch some educational devil tv.  But even then its not a full sleep because of course the other still need stuff, so I still have to get up but I guess at least I get little cat naps between their requests.
Can you believe that Valentines day is less then a week away?  Look at me trying to make it sound like a major holiday (ha).  Are you getting you man something?  I always get my man something, usually a card some of his favorite candy and some kind of gift.  Last year he waited till the last minute and didn't exactly get me what I want but he was sweet and went to the store and bought strawberry's and chocolate and made me me chocolate covered strawberry's.  Okay well he kind of screwed it up and it was more like chocolate strawberry soup but it was good and a sweet gesture.  We also involve the kiddos in valentines and get them a sweet little toy or candy.  What do you do?

and the sickness continues...

Sorry I have been ignoring the blog world lately, I have been under the weather along with all 4 of my children! Devin finally finished her antibiotics today, I hope she doesn't get another ear infection! Kara and Carly have been the worst off all, I had to take Carly back in yesterday and she now has an ear infection, so Brooke is the only kiddo that doesn't have an ear infection!
So I just wanted to let you all know I am here still I just need to start feeling, I'll be back soon I promise!

A random kind of post

So I am sitting here watching your baby can read with my kids and surfing facebook and thinking about things... See I can multi task!

When I see on facebook a bunch of my old school freinds say that there is an explosion not far from were I use to live!

The furniture store exploded in my old town! They aren't yet sure how it happened but its pretty crazy! And scary I hope the people that were in the store are okay! I am prayer for anyone who was involved that they will be okay!
I had to go grocery shopping yesterday, which let me tell you is a bad idea when you are sick and not feeling good but it needed to be done. An even worse idea though... Taking 3 kids grocery shopping while sick! Let me tell that was a bad move on my part! Thankfully my sweet husband met me at the store to help me finish shopping and load the grocerys into the truck.
Well I bought some things yesterday that I know I will be eating once I start my new years resolution to get healthy (and thinner) next year. Well I decided today that I'm going to start a little early. Why now right? I mean new years is only days away, so I figured that I mine as well start now, because its never to late to start getting healthy and in to shape. Although I still may wait to start exercising until I get rid of this cough and bronchitis that I am suffering from (because I think I have bronchitis). But hey what a great time to start eating healthier (when your sick). I didn't take a picture of it but I made a pretty yummy smoothie this morning, consisting of orange juice, a banana, some strawberries, blueberries and raspberries, greek vanilla yogart and about 10 leafs of spinach. It turned out pretty good if I do say so myself.
I think I may be making smoothies daily, for me and the kiddos (especially if I can add veggies to it and they can't taste it) Kara really liked it! for some reason though she thought it was chocolate milk (and there was no milk in it haha). We got your baby can read for the little girlies for Christmas and I have been trying to get them to watch. Carly of course hasn't really been watching but Kara has :) I am also planning on getting more into teaching Brooke and Kara, I have slacked a bit because Brooke has been going to school but its time to get started again.
But I must go and rest now...

The Randomness that is my Life...

I've been drawing a blank as to what to write about lately. Do I tell you about the Haunted Hayride that we attended last Saturday, that my inlaws have been throwing for about 3 years now? I take the pictures and guess what I took 180 some pictures this year! yeah thats alot of damn pictures! Don't worry I am not going to post them all on here, but perhaps just a few. We had a great time, the kids had a great time. It was fun for all ages and great food. Although like any event there were many inconsiderate people present. I guess people just don't get it, your invited to someone elses house for an event (that by the way was free), they don't have to invite you or even have it for that matter and people take advantage of thier hospitality. Its so aggrevating at how rude people can be. But like every year things may need to change a little next year. It's a learning process, especially since the event is getting bigger every year.

Sunday everyone in the house was feeling pretty crummy, I got sick, Devin got and ear infection and everyone else just didn't feel well. By Monday Devin had ruptured her ear drum and is now on antibiotics and ear drops. We've been lazing around for the past few days because well I still don't feel good and I am just not up to anything. Don't get me wrong I have been taking care of my kids when need be and I have been cleaning (against my will because of my mom haha) but other then that its been nothing but resting for us. I finally sent Devin back to school today although her ear is still leaking fluid (which by the way is super gross) but she is feeling better and is not in that much pain anymore. Kara starting coughing last night so I'm worried she maybe getting sick again (which she was just sick not to long ago) Hopefully little miss Carly doesn't get sick. I worry about her immune system since she hasn't had shots yet and she is only 9 weeks old. But at least the other kiddos have gotten thier flu shots. Speaking of flu shots have you ever noticed that when you get a flu shot (or someone else gets one) they always end up sick very shortly after? Why is that, I thought the flu shot was suppose to stop you from getting sick?

I hate to jump from one subject to another but.... Do you have a baby? If so do you have a baby swing? Does your baby love his/her swing? My daughter does but you know what happen yesterday? Her swing took a shit! It sucked, I was not feeling good yesterday (and still am not today) but yesterday was a rough day having an unhappy kid because her swing just would not work! It make the noises just fine and the little mobile worked too but the swing just would not swing! So we had to go out and get her a new one last night. Do you know how hard it is going shopping with 4 kids when you feel like crap? It suck's lets just put it that way. But we managed (well I managed), all the kids managed to do was get on my very last nerve and aggrevate the hell out of me by fighting and whining the whole time.

I am so ready for a nap.. Shoot what the heck, the 2 older kids are at school, I think I will put Kara down for her nap and take a nap myself...

Oh I'll post those pictures later :)

Have a Great Day!

Hello Peoples.....

So obviously I haven't posted in a while... We ended up loosing our Internet for a few days there because the stupid modem went out. I have been going through some serious Internet withdrawals, like a Friend of mine mentioned today, What did we ever do and how did we ever survive without the Internets?
Well Kara is getting better her croup cough is gone (thanks to the steroid shot!) but she is still not feeling quite herself yet, as the kiddo is still very crabby and cranky and still does not have her full appetite back yet. She has a doctors appointment tomorrow for a check up for her croup so we will see how she is doing then. She still sounds congested though. I hope the doc gives me some good news though that she will be back to normal soon.
Other then that not much else has been going on, we've been taking it pretty easy this week because Kara has been sick and so have I.
Hopefully I will have a better post in the next day or so.

Have a Great Day!

Here we Croup again....

Yep the title says it all... But this time its not Brooke, thankfully since she just got over it from last weekend. Nope its my little miss Kara, She has had some kind of virus all week and this morning at about 5:30am it developed into croup (or at least thats when the most horrible sounding cough started. I knew right then and there that she had croup so when I woke up I gave my (sick) husband 2 choices, either he takes Kara into the ER to get the steroids or he takes the other two kids to the birthday party that they were suppose to go to at 9am this morning. He chose to take the older two to thier party. So off to the ER me and Kara went. We got in pretty fast and in less then a half hour she had her steriod shot and a popcycle for breakfast. Since we've been through this twice with Brooke we know what to do already but this time around we are watching alot more closely because Kara sounds horrible, her cough is really bad her breathing is bad and she can barely cry. I am a bit more worried this time around. Brooke never sounded this bad, which is kind of weird just because Brooke as asthma so you would figure she would get it worse. So again I sit another week (my 2nd in a row to be exact) nursing a sick child with croup....

Have a great Weekend!

Happy....

Happy St. Patricks Day! Did you have your corned beef and cabbage today? Maybe you partook in some green beer? We had some corned beef and cabbage and thats it, of course I didn't have any green beer I'm preggo duh!

So the other day I was facebooking (like I do everyday) and got a message from a freind one was labled LOL and YOUTUBE I was stupid and clicked on it. Yep you guessed it I got a virus on my lap top. I took it into Best Buy and had Geek Squad check it out and today I got a phone call saying that my hard drive was failing. So when the hubby got off work we went up to the store to talk to Geek Squad and after some much consisderation me and the hubby decide to buy a new computer so we did. We got a new Gateway with Windows 7 (so much better then Vista in my opinion), we still have our old computer, we will get it fixed just not by Geek Squad. It would have cost up almost $500 for Geek Squad to fix it, we bought our new computer for just under $700 (including an antivirus protection software). I'm still trying to get use to the new lap top though, its alot smaller then our previous one and we installed the software ourselves so I am trying to get use to that as well. The keys feel so much different then our previous but then again the old one was a HP and the new one is Gateway so yeah they are different. I will give you some advice though right now.... Even if you know the sender be cautious of what you open because it could be a virus.

So I started the new medication that the doctors prescibed (the herbal motion sickness meds), I am not quite sure if they are working or not, I was able to sleep in my own bed last night but that is because I brought 3 of our couch pillows to bed with me to keep me sitting up. It wasn't exactly comfortable to lets be honest sitting up sleeping is just not comfortable. The medication does however make me super drowsy, so I think that is why I slept alright last night but I was still exhausted when I woke up this morning and I wanted so bad to take a nap but as soon as I began to fall asleep my aunt started texting me, so no nap today.

Well I guess that is all that is going on right now so...

Have a Great Night!

Update on Vertigo...

So this is now 5 days since I first started experiencing vertigo. The spinning has stopped (THANK YOU!) but I am still having issues with Dizzy and Lightheaded spells. I still am unable to sleep laying flat and ended up sleeping on the chair again last night. I have fluid built up in my ears due to congestion that I have had for over a month now, and this is what is causing the vertigo. I am taking Sudafed and the doctors are going to give me an herbal perscription for motion sickness to hopefully help with the dizzyness. I talked to my neighbor last night who said that is wife has had this for 3 years! I don't know how I will be able to handle it for that long! She has her days were if "flairs up" its not a constant problem and I am hoping that this is the case for me or that mine will go away. I guess I have to go since my youngest is trying to make me put my computer away, and she is pretty stinking strong. So ta-ta for now :)

Vertigo day 4

So this is my 4th day and last night was my 4th night with Vertigo. Yesterday seemed alright I had my moments dizziness and lightheadedness but I think all in all the day went pretty good, and because of the I thought it would be safe to sleep in my own bed with the Hubby since I had been sleeping on the chair in the living room sitting basically straight up for 3 nights in a row.

Boy did I make a mistake when I made that decision! I had a horrible night, I didn't feel right all night long. Today isn't going any better either so far, I have a headache and I'm really nauseated I am so tired. I feel dizzy and just not right, I'm thankful that the room is not spinning but other then that I feel like poo! I want to nap but I don't see that happening right now, oh did I mention on top of feeling like crap Kara was having issues sleeping last night? So yeah that didn't make it any better, and I am not sure if it has to do with the computer or if its me but I am having real issues just typing this out, every so often I miss a letter here and there, yeah you can see it because I pick up on it and fix it but am I just not typing hard enough? Or is my computer screwing up?

I hate to admit it but I have been unable to keep up with any of the blogs that I follow because I am trying to limit my time on the computer because I just don't feel good. Oh and thanks to being sick with vertigo and not being able to eat much (and vomiting) I have lost some more weight, a total of 9lbs to be exact, well I've only lost 3 since being sick but I have not gained any weight yet this pregnancy. Yeah I am worried but then again my aunt gave me her baby heart doppler so I get to listen to my baby's heart whenever I want and baby's heart is beating great so we are good! Don't know if I mentioned it but we get the big ultrasound on March 29th! Yeah I think I did mention it but oh well I just reminded you.
I think its time for me to rest some more, I really wish I could nap right now but I just don't see that happening right now (Kara is awake and you can't let her run the house herself).
So ta-ta for now.

Have a Great Day!

Vertigo is no fun....

So I have been MIA for a while, well Thursday night I was woken up at 12:30am by my littlest daughter who decided she didn't want to sleep, I hate to admit it but we have a tv in there and I wanted to sleep so I turned the tv on for her to watch for a little bit, after maybe an hour I turned it off trying to get her back to bed at this time I had a really bad headache, about and hour later at 2:30am I woke up (because Kara still would not go to bed) and the room was spinning really bad. I turned the tv back on for her because I could barely walk. I spent alot of time in the bath room for the next few hours everything was spinning so badly that I was vomiting. My mom tried to help me but couldn't come up with anyway to get it to stop, I called my OB thinking that it was something to do with the pregnancy, she told me to take some tylonal and try to get some sleep, yeah easy for you to say. I finally was able to fall asleep for a little bit at 5:30am sitting straight up in a chair, I basically napped the rest of the night. In the morning I had to get Devin up for school and get Kara up and dressed (ok she was awake from 12:30am till almost 4am and she was still up on her own at 7:15am!), Thankfully my mom woke to get Devin on the bus because I was a bit incapacitated (from vomiting again). I called the doctors office when they opened and they finally called me back at 10:30am to let me know that I probably have fluid built up in my ears and I also have severe vertigo. Believe me this sucks. Today I am doing a little better but I am still have spells of lightheadness and dizziness, when I try to go to bed at night (still sleeping in the chair) I begin to have the spinning sensation again. So yes this is why I have been MIA and probably will be until this goes away because I don't feel to hot right now.

Oh and to top it off Brookes 4th Birthday party is today!

Have a Great Day
