The moment you have been waiting for

Okay so its one of the moments you have been waiting for (the other being the sex of the baby). We have finally finished the babies room. Before I continue and let you all the pretty pics, The jumper (which you will see) is not staying in the room I am going to be putting my rocker in there but have been to lazy and Kara likes to lay under the jumper and sometimes sleep under it. Also this room use to be a office so hence the dark red color, but I did not want to repaint it and so far Kara has had no issues with the room so we are happy with it and the color ( I actually really like it!)

So without further Ado.......

Here is the view from the door as you walk into the room- what you are looking at is Kara's bed and toy cubes. You may be wondering what is on the wall well that is the bumper pad to the crib. Our crib is a mini crib so the bumper was to big and also since
bumper pads are deemed dangerous to infants I would prefer not to use it.

Next you are looking at Kara's bed (which will be painted white eventually) and the bedding that my grandmother made for us. We did pick out the fabric it was the only thing we could find that matched the crib bedding the closest.
Here is another view of "Kara's wall" with all her toys in her toy cube.

Here is the baby's bedding.

And part of the window, tv, jumper and dresser

A whole view of the "baby's wall"

And yet another view of the "baby's wall"

So there you have it I guess you could call this the nursery. Can it be called a nursery of there is another child in the room? I don't think I have ever had an actually nursery.
Have a Great Day!

My silly girls...

As I sit here thinking about what to write I am watching my 15 month old daughter well fall off the ottoman but that wasn't what I wanted to say, I am watching her climb all over her 3 year old sister. I love watching them interact and play. Ok maybe its not good that I am constantly saying "Brooke get off of her!" or that Brooke is constantly crying because Kara has done something that she doesn't like, for instants just a second ago Kara tried brushing Brooke's hair only problem is that Brooke has been playing and her hair is super knotted. I was just about to take some pictures to show them playing but now they don't want to play with each other anymore. Kara wants to try and destroy my computer with the brush though.
See.....
Is it wrong that when they climb on each other and cry I laugh? Its hard not to sometimes especially when Kara is the one making Brooke cry, she is defiantly strong for her age.
Well I was going to wait till we had Kara and the new baby's room done for the big reveal of the bedrooms but my grandma is in the process of making Kara's bed spread and pillow case and she is suppose to put it together this weekend. I am just getting impatient and want to show everyone, I was actually contemplating showing you Kara's room before her bedspread was finished but no I show restraint and wait. So.... without further ado I present Devin and Brooke's room finally finished (ok we may add some decorations, and my grandma has to finish the valance, but right now its good enough!)
Just a side note this room was blue when we moved in and I didn't feel like painting. So there!
Brooke gets the bottom bunk (which she loves, because its so bouncy) and Devin has the top bunk
The curtains go with the bedding, and the little strip things hanging next to them are the tie backs that we are to lazy to put up.
This is probably the cleanest you will ever see this room (yeah right my mom is a clean freak)
Devin is a camera hog and had to get in at least one shot (that's my girl)

So what do you think? I thought is was fine the way it was (although nothing matched) but my mom wanted it to look "like a kids room" and she thought it just looked like a room "thrown together" and now that the bedding matches the curtains and the walls shes happy. I wish I had before pictures but oh well.....

Hopefully next week I will be able to show you Kara's room.

Have a Great Day!

my weekend.... in a nut shell.

Sorry I haven't posted alot lately, its not my fault really... Ok maybe it is a little but its mainly the hubby's fault. The hubby has been layed off and he has taken over my computer playing Mahjong Titans. He plays this game all stinking day long (unless we actually leave the house). Ok so I could get on one of the other computer (we have 3 total, my mom has a laptop, desktop, and I have a laptop) but I love my laptop and don't really want to sit at the desktop computer and I really don't like my moms keyboard on her laptop. We actually have been pretty busy this past weekend to, We tried to visit the hubbys parents on saturday but they were gone so we went and visited his brother, and then later that night we had our Valentines dinner, Sunday we had to take the older two over to my aunts for thier first over night at her house, then we visited the hubbys parents. We have been searching all over the place the last few days trying to find some material or bedding for Kara's bed so we could finally finish up her room. Yesterday we had to take my car into the shop (stupid windshield wiper motor keeps blowing a fuse) and then the search was on again, we went to joann fabrics and finally found some striped bedding that goes with the baby bedding, the colors are brighter but we figure once we wash it, it should fade a bit so they won't be so bright. Last night my mother and I put the baby bedding on the crib (yeah I know we are a bit early but I don't want to wait!) We couldn't figure out what to do with the bumper pad since a) the crib is a mini crib so the bumper pad is actually to big. and b) your not suppose to use then anyways. So we tacked them up to the wall and kinda made a puffy wall border. Its different but it does look good. Thankfully my grandma had to drop our girls off so she was able to take the material home with her so she could make the comforter and pillow case for us. Hopefully she gets it done pretty quickly because I really want the room to be finished already! I want to post the pictures of Devin & Brookes room done, but I would prefer to wait till Kara's room is done as well. But maybe I don't have to wait.... I don't know I am so confused (haha). Anyways keep an eye out because I am sure sometime in the next week or so I should have pictures of both finished rooms up! (of course thats if I can pry the computer away from the hubby!)
