Professional or Not?

So I got my 2nd present from The Hubby yesterday, it arrived in the mail a few days early. I got Photoshop Lightroom! So today I did a photo shoot out in the yard with the kiddos.

Today was Devin was Devins 8th Birthday so of course I had to get some shots of the oldest for her Birthday!

I really enjoyed taking some pictures of my girlies and then editing them in Lightroom

I even went to get them printed out at Meijers today and the guy actually though they were Professional pictures!

It sure does make a girl feel good being told your photos look professional!

I used my moms backyard for all the photos

During the summer her yard looks really pretty and a perfect back drop for photos

and I personally love the natural light of the summer

I love taking pictures of my girlies!

Although some times I wish they would cooperate a little better :)

I had to throw this picture in of my Best freind Jamie and her Sweet little 5 month old daughter Kylie, I took this at my surprise party and I just love this picture the way the black and white turned out!

Me and My Crazy Kids....

So its been a while since I last posted some pictures of the kids and I. So how about a little up-e-date?

Me?

I'm doing good. I'm tired (as always) but I'm managing to function some how (not sure how). Taking care of the children's. I'm exercising and the weight and inches are coming off! The picture above shows me wearing a shirt that as you can see is baggy on me. Well the last time I wore it, it was tight all over. So I'm sure you can understand my excitement. I don't want to get into it to much since tomorrow is sucking it in saturday and we can talk about it more then :)

Devin?

Devin is doing well. She is doing good in school. Although she is constantly telling us she is bad in certain subjects she really isn't but for some reason she believes she is. She has yet another cavity that needs to be filled and will eventually need braces. She use to be so excited about braces, wanting them before her adult teeth started coming in but now she doesn't. Go figure I don't understand kids...

Brooke?

I think Brooke is going through a growth spurt, this child is constantly eating! She's still her drama queen self and still very emotional. I hope its just a phase but I guess only time will tell. She is extremely interested in playing Nick Jr. Games on the computer right now. She has learned a lot from pre-k and is doing so well in spelling. She can spell her first name, last name and her sister Kara's name. She is turning 5 soon. They grow up so fast! If you have kids of your own then you already know this don't you? Of course you do!

Kara?

What can I say about my Karbear? She is an extremely active 2 year old! She loves her binkie and her blankey and refuses to potty train. She is a stubburn little butt monkey! But her smile keeps me from being mad at her. She loves to be naked, even during these cold winter months and no matter were we go she trys to take her shoes off (even at the store). When she is shirtless we call her gibby and she loves it! (iCarly reference). She has piercing ice blue eyes that can melt your heart!

Carly?

My baby bundle... Carly is doing a lot better since her stay in the hospital due to RSV, Bronchiolitis and Pneumonia. Her breathing is noticably better. She doesn't even sound sick anymore. She needs to get an updated x-ray to make sure her lungs are clear but I don't doubt that they are. She's on the move now a days learning to scoot and crawl. She is extremely close to sitting up on her own. and she has 2 teeth. She wants to be held all the time which doesn't allow me to do much, unless I can find a way for her to be occupied with her toys. Thankfully she likes playing (sometimes haha).

I'm a Goofy Goober - Yeah....

So I really don't have much to share with today.... Sorry I've been busy cleaning today, and then we took the older girlies to the skating rink for a school party. They had a blast, if you were wondering.
So the Hubby and I were sitting with Carly tonight watching south park, and the Hubby was messing around with me and singing "Mommies a Goofy Goober, Yeah" (if you've watched spongebob squarepants I am sure you know the song) and it actually sounded like Carly was trying to sing with the Hubby! It was so cute, obviously you couldnt understand what she was saying since it was all cooing and such. But she really did seem like she was singing too.
So since thats all I had to share today I thought I would share some pictures of my little Goofy Goober. Enjoy!

I'm ready for the New Year!

This was me and carly last night as I played on the computer talking to my cousin.

So I really didn't realize that the end of the year was coming so quickly and look here it is the last day of 2010 wow this is crazy, well not totally crazy I guess I just didn't realize that I would be starting my diet and exercise so soon and hear it is tomorrow will begin the new year! So 1 tomorrow I will be beginning the transformation to a new me! and 2 I will be announcing the winner of "A New Year A New Me" Contest.

I want to share with ya'll what exactly my goal is for the new year.... (if you don't mind)

Part of the Transformation kit (that one of you will be winning) is to write or post some goals for your success. So here are my question/goals:

What do you Want? & Why?

Well most of you should know this because I complain of it so often... I want to loose weight, I want to be healthier and set a better example for my children. I can force them to eat healthier then I do since I am thier mother but what kind of example is it when I am telling them to eat a healthy snack and I am munching on unhealthy junk?

I'd also like to add that, This year for me is not going to be all about loosing weight and getting healthier. I've said before I am not very proud of being lazy and that is another goal that I am going to be aiming for as well, I want to be more active. I hope that getting into shape and being healthier will help towards that goal.

I'm glad that I am not gaining anymore weight just mainly maintaining the weight that I have been at since I had Carly but I'm not happy with being were I am at, right now the scale is my enemy! Also part of the transformation success is to take a before and after pictures and to take you measurements. I will be taking a before picture and my measurements tomorrow, so look forward for that post along with the announcement of the winner of the contest tomorrow!

I just had to share!

I'm very excited... The Hubby got me my lighting kit for Christmas and of course Christmas day I had to try it out so well, I did. Guess who was my Guinea pig?

She was very patient with Mommy while I tried to figure everything out.

I don't know for sure but I think she had fun!

Our Christmas

Yes Christmas has come and gone... Ours was a wonderful Christmas... How was yours? Of course now though I am sick and thats not fun. I think I may have bronchitis (which is not fun!)
The girls had a wonderful Christmas and got TONs of toy! Carly got alot of clothes and money (which will come in handy when we need to buy her more clothes and other such things that she will be needing.
I finally got to open my lighting kit and play with it! I had so much fun trying to figure out all the settings and such . But I am not done figuring it all out as I have alot more to learn.
